Suited or unsuited? Always 100% polyester, blend or maybe no cloth?

What is everyone's preferred playing surface? Where do you get your cloth from?

Gaming suede for sure. Nice soft velvety feeling and fully customizable.

If you like the looks of a suited or mini-suited speed cloth (SSC), Tony (Chanman Tables) can custom-print his gaming suede to look like SSC.
And if you still prefer the coarse texture and proverbial durability of the SSC, Tony can custom-print a white SSC to any color combination, to also include a betting line (the only professional way to get a betting line on SSC; otherwise you 'd have to paint it using an oil marker a very steady hand).

Get the chanman gaming cloth. It's worth every penny. I prefer it over the casino felts I have to be honest.

Opening this back up. I know tchan felt are the best. BUT, I’m looking at refelting a Barrington table and am thinking of using the un-suited speed cloth. How does it compare (slide, durability, etc) to the suited speed cloth?

You know what I haven’t seen in this discussion is whether there’s a difference between the gaming suede @T_Chan is using now and what he was using a few years ago. I seem to recall he had to source a different material - is it better or worse or still the same?
Anyway all I have to offer the conversation personally is that I love my suited speedcloth and would reccomend it to everybody. But it’s important to get REAL ssc and not the garbage cheap Chinese import ssc. Because I’ve bought that too and it’s stiff garbage. All I can say is that if you’re buying ssc and it’s cheaper than the competition, beware.

Get the rolled SSC as well. Don’t go for the folded one. No wrinkles to try to iron out with the rolled!

I have tchan casino grade cloth for my round table and it’s amazing. But I do notice that the Kem cards slide great, the desjgn cards takes a little more work. Still amazing though.

Yeah I’m going through YAT for the ssc, so I feel pretty good it’s not the knock off. Just trying to see if i can get the same performance from the unsuited, then I don’t have to worry about lining up the patterns on the Barrington fold.

In my experience, the suited cloth is faster than the unsuited. The patterns on SSC are slightly raised, which I guess allows more air beneath the cards when pitching. I'd imagine durability is about the same. My 2¢ worth.
