Morning,
I've also been slowly corrupted into needing a full custom set.
I recently rewatched all of Star wars and loved the idea of the credits as poker chips.
I've seen all the Sabacc sets being 3D printed on Etsy and while its cool, I dont think they really work as poker chips.
They are just bronze, silver and gold coloured.
I also loved he idea of a beskar plaque for higher denoms.

Anyway here are my first mock ups for 43mm ceramics.
I went with emblem of each ruling government across the SW timeline for increasing denominations.
The idea being as each new government comes in they would mint new coins but still have to deal with inflation.

They don't look much like credits used in the actual lore anymore, so not sure if I can get closer to original idea of credits that can work as chips.

Beskar plaque to come when I work out how to do folded steel design in Inkscape.

Will anyone even print these with potential copyright issues?

These would look incredible on MSK marble base plaques. No need to re-invent the wheel, beskar is just damascus steel. Grab an image and go.

Hard to say. In general when you have something made for personal use it's fine, and Star Wars has usually been pretty supportive (or at minimum turns a blind eye to) of people creating and customizing, not to mention a zillion Etsy stores selling all kind of Star Wars creations.

Is that right? Oh man, I have been thinking about a Star Wars set for a while now. Close up shot of the helmets of the Empire for the inlay:

White = Stormtrooper
Red = Imperial Guard
Green = Boba Fett
Black = Vader

I should poke around on this some more.

Though I don't know a lot about the "credits" and the variety of symbols used in the Star Wars world, I'm really interested in this idea. There's so much to draw from, you could make an incredible set.

A quick google search and I found this image of a "credit", could be great inspiration for a plaque design

Also, I don't know what this symbol I used means, but I was playing around with the idea

As I said, it's hard to say. Fair use is not always black and white, and personal use is similar.

For those wondering about copyright issues, it never hurts to ask. Usually, as long as the set is not for resale to the general public they'll allow it.

That is Jedi order symbol. Looks sweet.

i'm off the credits idea for now.
I loved the idea of making chips designs for that wamapoke casino in that parksn rec set.
I really like the Carbie Hilton design chips and want something retro and simple colours along with those gorgeous edges.
I'm going to work on the colours and make it more retro.
But here's my first attempt.
