I have a few racks of solids that I have been picking up here and there that I'm looking to get milled and create a tourney set.

I'm looking for how to make a proper set out of this. Which chips to use as which denoms, and tips for adding/removing some chips to make it a better breakdown. I'm thinking I could probably trade/sell some of the fuchsia chips, and maybe ad something else.. What would you do with this lot?

I'm thinking 1 table tourney set. (would also do 2 table if possible)

Here's the loot

My first thoughts was:

Green 25
Black 100
Fuchasia 500
White 1000
Arl yellow 5000

What do you think?

Definitely a good point. And by doing that I'm pretty good to go. Problem is tough, is 100x 25 and 100x100 enough?

Add about 60 each of the green and black and you’d have a perfect 2 table T10k set with 8/8/4/7 starting stacks with enough chips for colorups, possibly one rebuy per player.

Luckily those are easier colors to find. I’d add more if you can even if it’s just a barrel more of each. Single table?

Very true. Easy to find colors. Would be pretty straightforward to make this a full 2 table set. I can probably search for this, but what's good number of 1ks/5ks?

This would be my breakdown if I add 60 each greens and black.

Without entering it into a calculator that looks solid to me. Can add more 5k for rebuys if wanted

Actually looks near perfect for 8/8/4/7 - T10k starting stacks - 20 players - up to 20 rebuys with your 5k chips - coloring up the T25, T100, and T500 with T1k

That's pretty solid. Might wanna try and get a few more arc, or find a great 5k color and make the arc 25k...

I know not the OP's request, but I can't help but think cash set.

Orange 0.50
White 1
Fuschia 5
Green 25
Black 100

I've been thinking that as well, and they are actually hotstamped like that. This would be a good idea, but I already have a spottet cash set with those base color combos (white 1, pink 5, green 25, black hundo) so I'm thinking these would never see play if I make them a cash set.

Hadn't really considered using the fuchsia as 1ks, but that would absolutely work.

Another option is sell/trade and look for some other colors.......... Decisions, decisions......
