Just received email that Soaring Eagle (Indian Casino in mid-Michigan) is re-opening this Friday....thought it might be of interest to PCF members. I've pasted and copied the email here:

We are pleased to announce that following two-and-a-half months of closure, many home cooked meals and some new hair styles, we will be reopening Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, The Slot Palace & Bingo Hall and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel. Starting at 10:00 am on May 29 and continuing until 8:00 a.m. on June 1, these facilities will reopen to a limited number of invited guests. On June 1 at 8:00 a.m. the facilities will be open to the general public. We have very much missed seeing you and providing you the outstanding service you deserve!

These are unprecedented times that have affected us all. When we return, we will experience a “new normal” at our casino properties. The openings will be with a comprehensive health and sanitation plan in place and unfortunately, with some amenities to reopen at a later date. At Soaring Eagle, amenities to open at a later date include Aurora Buffet, Siniikaung, Isabellas, Water Lily, valet service, shuttle service, coat check, the spa and salon, the pool and hot tub areas, poker games, tour bus groups and concerts. At Saganing Eagles Landing, amenities to open at a later date include shuttle service, coat check, the pool and the fitness center.

Health and sanitation measures will include the requirement that all team members wear masks that we will provide. Guests will also be required to wear masks that we will provide if they arrive without one. Smoking will not be permitted. Infrared cameras will perform temperature checks at primary guest and team member entrances with non-contact thermometer temperature checks at secondary entrances. Plexiglas partitions will be in place at appropriate interactive areas. Additional hand sanitizer will be available for guests and team members throughout the properties. The frequency of surface sanitation will be increased.

Gaming chips will be sanitized regularly and playing cards will be replaced more frequently. Line markers will be installed on the floor indicating six foot intervals in areas where lines may form, such as at cashier stations, at the hotel front desks and at the ACCESS Loyalty Clubs. Restaurants will have fewer tables available to provide improved social distancing. Self-service beverage stations will now be staffed with team members who will serve guests their drink requests. Every other slot machine will be activated and reduced seating at table games will be in place to enhance social distancing. Bingo seating will be modified to achieve social distancing.

Team member training will include proper wearing of masks, asking team members to regularly wash or sanitize their hands, and requesting team members to stay home if not feeling well. Additional training specific to performing certain job duties will also be provided. Guests will be encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands regularly and to stay home if you do not feel well. We are drafting detailed written policies consistent with the substance of this announcement that are intended to protect our guests and team members and to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you in advance for being part of a safe and responsible reopening of our casinos.

We can’t wait to see you again!!!
