Interesting. To me, it's as much about the sound as the feel. The Matsuis I have feel and sound nothing like TRKs.
In all seriousness, I will take them off your hands.
Edit: Got it. didn't see your last post.
Oh, they sound NOTHING like the Matsuis(which sound more like thud to be honest than anything else), they just have some of that slickness to them. They have an interesting sound compared to the Paulsons I have. Not bad, not good, just different but within the same family for sure.
Do tell...if you don't mind.
I've said this before in a few other threads but my friends all think I'm nuts with the chips. Like they think they are cool and all and notice they are better than dice chips, but they wouldn't care about the difference between ceramics, hybrids, plastics, or clay. Most of the comments I've gotten are about the bright colors and that's about it.
There is, however, a big part of that group of friends that makes a yearly trip out to Las Vegas for what is essentially a guys weekend. We do the usual vegas guys stuff and we have a nice mix of folks who are still young and want to go out to clubs every night, and an older crowd that wants to take it easy, have some good food, and enjoy friends they only see a few times a year.
One thing that has always been a stand out for these trips is a lot of us collectively go to the Plaza casino down in 'old vegas' and play craps. If you've never been to the Plaza it is very much NOT the Wynn or the Venetian, nor is it trying to be like some of the lower rent but still main strip casinos. Anyways, we always go and play on this one craps table and have a great time, not to mention on more than one occasions trips to that table have paid for the entire trip for members of the group, so it holds a special place in our hearts. The current chips are, how to put this nicely, ugly. CG has some
THC molded chips that aren't awful, but I've never seen them in use. What we always see are RHCs with oversized inlays, no thanks.
So, to hopefully make sense of my love of chips for my buddies I'm putting together an old sample set of chips for this casino that they love, in the hopes that they understand a little bit of why I may want/collect particular chips.
tldr; friends love the Plaza hotel and I want to make sense of chipping to them by showing them cool old chips from a casino they love
