I just acquired some used casino tables and chairs, which are currently being stored at a relatives house in Florida. My problem - I’m in Pittsburgh! Anyone have any experience shipping tables and chairs somewhat economically? I may fly down and drive a box truck back. I’ve submitted for quotes through uShip and FreightPros. Am I missing any options?

Another question - they are in good shape but I was informed they smell like the casino, so now the pressure is on to get them sooner, lol. Any experience with getting the smell out of casino tables? I hope they’ll air out, once I get them I’ll see if it is just the cloth or if it’s into the padding. Pics of my goods for those of you who love pics.... 6A332DC0-A0ED-4199-9094-2E36C6B87FE0.jpeg26D59458-1F4E-4423-BD99-27E032260350.jpeg31ADA239-F67E-4123-9E00-A09EB29F2DEB.jpegD93E6955-1D79-4C6F-A466-75F2BDD2E1BE.jpeg

The chairs look like vinyl which is a good thing. I good wipe down with a cleaner that removes nicotine tar and cigarette smoke will take care of those. Just test it on an area of the vinyl that is out of site to make sure it doesn't discolor it.

To address the shipping question, I don't think any freight company will pick up loose items like that. It would have to be palatalized or crated. Weights, dims, and NMFC codes are needed.

A U-Shipper might do it if the conditions are right for them. Renting a moving truck (Budget, U-Haul, etc) with an unlimited miles option may be your best bet.

I 2nd the ozone machine. I have one for a trailer that I purchased that had a musty smell and it did the trick. Used it for several other applications and it worked for that also.
