Refurb. The box and a tiny sicker on the back of unit said 'Refurbished by Sharp to factory specifications.' The screen and frame had plastic wrap on it which was a good sign. There are no cosmetics blemishes at all. The picture looks good and they put the latest firmware on it. Sharp replaced it out of warranty so I'm satisfied.
