This has been over a year in the making…a slow grind that has almost come to a full stop recently so I thought I’d share the progress so far with the hope that more singles will pop up soon.

When I started this project the aim was to put together a small set capable of supporting micro stakes (6-max) or 1/1 heads up. I got some help at the start from @TRKingChips and the rest has been about buying singles here and there with the help of a few chippers here @leo822 @ReallyGoodUsername and @RocAFella1 & countless members of TCB - shoutout to @JeepologyOffroad who has helped me with re-shipping, without him it would have been impossible to buy any of these as most singles collectors refuse to ship internationally…it’s been slow, sometimes a little bit of an unpleasant chase (and of course expensive but who cares!)…but all in all, completely worth it.

So far I have got:
- 19 x quarters
- 70 x $1
- 35 x $5
- 25 x $25

With more on the way:
- 41 x quarters (of which 40 cancelled stamps)
and a few more $1…which I think gets me within 10 chips of completing two racks of chips from the Cardroom.

Ideally I’d love to add another 40-60 quarters, 30-50 x $1, 25-45 x $5, 5 x $25 and 10 x $100. This is particularly ambitious given the history behind the Cardroom, it’s size when it was open for a short period of time and the mystery surrounding what happened with the chips post bankruptcy, but I hope I’ll eventually get there. Maybe with your help! I’ll definitely update you on any meaningful progress.

Love the silver saddles….keep on truckin’

I assume I will never get a sample set of these chips as they seem almost impossible to find.

2023 starting with a bang - @leo822 providing what could already be called the assist of the year really for me, with a Paulson manufacturer sample joining the rest of the set.

It might not sound like much but, having collected Cali $100 for a while now, that $100 is one of the most elusive THC Cali $100 I can think of (w/ the California Club, Huntington Park large inlay and Gladiator $100 for example). Mine might be notched and drilled but who cares…

Wonder if the Lakeshore 100 looked similar ???
I think that’s one we’ve never seen

Also that’s a good use of colon orange
Used sparsely small spots is cool
Like metallic silver / gold

Glad to have helped. It is def the Holy Grail of CA hundos for sure. Sometimes you know a chip belongs with someone regardless of $$$. Nice to find someone as gaga over this club as me. It has a mystique that's for sure.

Lakeshore $100...it still MAY exist. Just because it's not in Armin's guide doesn't mean it's not out there...just that it hasn't come to light in 30 plus years...but you never know. Supposedly Paulson destroyed the records before transfer to GPI. Doesn't make sense to me but that is from a pretty good source.

I think Travis found the Lakeshores in a huge horde that had no hundos. Sometimes owners hold on to the higher denoms because they were so valuable to them when the club was open and it's hard to release that sense of intrinsic value. Brass Elephant horde is a good example. There were no $20's in the find but they do exist. The Phoenix right after it has also had its chips out in the market...but not the $20s or the $100. Yes...there is a hundred from there.
