Had no idea where to post this, but it's a "check in" of some sort I suppose.

I've been off for about a month - five weeks now, most of which was just normal life. Was overseas to get the move going and settled in, had a discrepancy with the agency work hired to handle the transition, France didn't recognize a piece of the documentation, we could only work in france a week at a time and had to grab the kids and leave twice to reset the clock then reenter, etc. That's just normal life though, which kept me from being active on here.

For those whom I owe poker chips to, I 100% thought these were sent off. I had maybe 1-3 individual sales, along with 2 splits on Outpost Casino chips (to help seller, myself, and others that wanted in). Was going to send all at once, and waited, waited, waited to get all the payments in. By the time I did, we were in the middle of a ton of packing and logistics on a household level, heading out the door. I needed my neighbor to grab the last package that was incoming, and since that was already happening I utilized him for sending out as well (he's a very, very good family friend and fellow chipperish, I have no problem trusting him and if something was to happen no problem covering every penny in full). I had everything set aside, money for mailing, supplies, ensured that he knew how to correctly package what wasn't already prepackaged for him, etc. He was given my login info to provide tracking numbers, we were all good.

Long story short, I confirmed they were sent, confirmation was given, I thought everything was hunky dorey (sp?). My focus for the rest of that month was pulled towards figuring out the nightmare that is EU, specifically French red tape (while holding down the 2 kids and new business as wife was in the air for work). I absolutely should have checked in on here just to confirm feedback, deliveries, etc., just didn't even remotely think there would've been a problem when I did have the chance to think of my chippies in a box somewhere. Turns out neighbors divorce took an unforeseen ugly turn, and this guy who I swear is as meticulous as they come, just completely whiffed on this. Had set everything aside, was heading out the door one day, got sideswiped, and a month later here we are.

I'm back in the states, everything is right here, I'm handling this myself as I write this. It's 1 right now, I'm racing against the clock to have everything out by 5 (because at this point who wants to wait or trust that these will be out tomorrow, I understand everyone probably wants pictures and confirmation #s immediately). I'm simply writing this because it's going to take me a minute to sort through messages and notifications from a month, and I don't want anyone thinking I'm handling one issue before there's or just sitting here online. Lastly, this is not how I have ever run any business of mine, nor is this my modus operandi for anything I set out to do. I apologize for any undo stress this has caused individual chippers, and am racking my brain how best to rectify the situation. Just flat out refunding every single purchase in addition to sending out the chips may not be the rout I take today, but it's not off the table if I can't think of anything else. Bare with me just today while I sift through the mountain of information I missed, and please trust in the fact that I literally (as in very much so literally) feel sick to my stomach about this.

Thank you,
Jeff

Edit: I have to follow up after just starting messaging back all around and trying to find threads that mention this. I am extremely sorry for being the source of some shittiness on PCF. Hate seeing threads about people worried about purchases, hate even more being the cause of said thread. I'm also very thankful for the candor and respectfulness that everyone shows when communicating about this and trying to reach a resolution. Great community, sorry to cause a divot in said community, and hope to be a value add component at some time in the future.

I also understand and want to point out that I totally get this making people not want to sell/buy from me or invite to meet ups, and I'm totally cool with that.

I was looking forward to jumping back into the fray as the dust has settled, but obviously didn't realize this had happened at that time. So I will hold off on those aspects, and hopefully rebuild my reputation in the mean time. For what it's worth, there are plenty of chippers on here that I've interacted with, and I pretty routinely have done business purely as a friend, often taking losses to make something happen, or ever just getting stuff out for free to people I think would enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure plenty of people would be pissed to see me just jump right back in when they've been waiting for this long without word, just mentioning that I get it and out of respect for you I'm pulling back a bit in the mean time.

Good on you, bro. I knew stiffing PCFers was just not in your character. Sorry for the headaches, but glad everything is being made right.

Alright I believe I've gotten through everything and everyone will be made whole by tomorrow I hope. I was trying to sufficiently answer everything in various threads as they appeared, but it appears that's a bit much, so I'll just address it here as one or two people had questions as to what was being said.

Some people wanted to know why I sold a lot of chips at once? Weird question, but cool, I was doing so to help out with extended family and friends that were going through hard times. They specifically wouldn't except charity, and originally were willing to take money from real estate/vehicle sales, but those fell through. So, chips were going up instead! (They got some money, I bought some new chippies eventually after, win/win.)

Like umpteen people have said, me being "online" during this time is from me clicking through a favorite on accident from my phone or probably leaving a tab open on one of 15 tablets and laptops the kids are using. No idea how anyone came to the conclusion that items were sold twice or promised to multiple people, guess I can't prove that until everyone receives their chips this week. I appreciate people that mentioned former positive interactions, I'm not exactly sure who the numerous unnamed people are who were PMing about negative interactions, but please, if for some reason you haven't enjoyed an interaction or exchange, feel free to message me directly and I'll take whatever action is necessary to make you feel differently. To add to that, I thank the 3ish out of 5ish chippers invovled in this long wait who said something along the lines of, I've interacted with him before, guessing there's just a problem, and I'm sure I'll get them here at some point. And I agree, I shouldn't have undertaken such a split when I had big life events upcoming. I had actually planned ahead, but the chipping aspect lagged as the second split came up and it took some users awhile to pay (Not an excuse, just didn't figure that in to the equation). If everyone is concerned about the @BarrieJ33 user, it was created early on in my time here as a joke for a particular post. I didn't see the problem at the time and thought I could just delete the user name afterward. This can *ever so easily* be discovered if you just search user BarrieJ33 and see the one post where I mentioned him.

Lastly for those of you who may have had a feeling or inkling before this incident, totally get it. That being said, I've regularly hooked up people publicly and privately. Over the past 3 months I've kept an eye out for chips, cut cards, etc. that were unique enough and within budget to be able to send out as surprise holiday presents. Again, falling off was indefensible, I should have at least checked in to make sure everything was all good.

I have no skin in this game, just glad to see back and addressing concerns.

If you feel the need to self-flagellate some more, will you sand paper some Emerald Bay chips (thread below)? ‘Cause I totally don’t want to do that with my own chips unless some one says it works with EBs. ;)

Sorry if this counts as thread jacking. Just glad you are back and trying to get back to normal laughing/trolling/good time chipping.

The giveaways are a nice gesture. More importantly your manning up and trying to make right. Just don't fuck up again please :) ( I added the smile face for some levity)

Good to have you back. As I said in the PM. If your around at Thanksgiving, your still welcome at my house. You were a great guest in June.

I get that you feel the need to make things right but asking everyone to strip is weird. Are you trying to turn this into an orgy forum? It is not on. Pervert!! :ROFLMAO:
The pr0n section could get really ugly! Still preferable to pictures of dice chips, though...
