Hey all, I know lots of customs sets have ended up being sold. I imagine that most people don't plan on selling the custom set that they design. My question is - what tipped you over the edge?

I have another large expense and I never use my custom chip set (unfortunately) but I can't bring myself to sell it at this point!

I decided that I didn't want two inlaid custom cpc sets. I got involved in a three way trade. Bourbons CPC's/Cash for my PNY set.

I think it matters what kind of customs we are talking about. Relabeled Paulsons have kept their resale value and can be remade. Ceramics probably kept a lot of their retail value, didn’t cost much relatively speaking, and can be remade. CPCs probably haven’t kept a lot of their value and would cost a lot more to remake. Also some CPC custom sets may have a lot less aftermarket appeal and would pull in much less money which would make the decision more difficult than ones that had more universal appea and drew more of its original value.

Selling the CPCs would be a hard decision but the rest would be easy.

I have ordered a custom CPC set, and I think I never sell it, in this case the theme is too personal, and I'm not planning ordering another set.

In my opinion, people sell custom that is not super personal (an imaginary casino for exemple), or he/she want build a better set, or change his/her tastes...
