School me Cocaine giraffes tribute set CPC (1 Viewer)

With bonus time nearing I'm thinking of a custom CPC set. I love cali colors and Cocaine. Hell I haven't even looked if I could come close using CPC colors, but I wanted some opinions. Is this looked down upon in the community? Pic stolen from @Windwalker

Nope. People have done lots of tribute copy sets in ceramics, CPC, or secret buys.

You would bot want to do a tribute set of another PCF members set (at least without permission) and depending on the inlay there may be copyright issues with open or even closed casinos, but this was a small card room that never even opened and never paid for their own chips. Fair game.

If I were doing it I’d make the purple a proper $25 and use the grey as a hundo. Oh and change the awful maroon spot on the $5 a bit.

Dayglo Saturn looks like vomit green, whereas the $5 in this set is arc yellow, so Dayglo Arc Yellow is probably the closest match.

DG Saturn is weird in person. You'd have to see it to understand. DG Arc Yellow is definitely a better fit.

I think I would do a white hundo

I'm thinking
Solid Green .25
Blue $1
Yellow $5
Purple or Grey for $20
White $100

I would be in for a sample set.

I am all for making slight improvements on original designs, especially if small tweaks can make a massive difference. Which it does here. It is just a tribute, not an exact copy.

Additionally, I like the ToysRUs giraffe.

I think the biggest issue you are going to have is that some of the CPC colors that really thrive in the coke giraffe chips as electric are not as vibrant in CPC.
