Savoy movie prop chip (1 Viewer)

No idea where you could get the actual prop chips. I know there's a big trade in movie props, but I've never gotten into them myself so I can't tell you how best to go about looking for something specific.

I happened to run across an eBay listing for a chip and a card that were props used on the 2003 NBC show "Las Vegas" featuring the fictional casino "The Montecito". I snapped it up but haven't seen any other listings like it since then. See https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/the-official-mail-showcase-thread.34406/page-717#post-1631629

The prop chips, though, were made by putting labels on blank chips called "Spirit Molds". Spirit Molds were made in a variety of colors and spot patterns; the ones shown in the Chip Guide aren't very common and would probably be hard to find. EXCEPT, though, for the blue-spotted red chip used for the $5, which you can buy blanks for right now if you hurry before they go out of stock again: https://chipsandgames.com/collectio...poker-chips-for-custom-labels-set-of-50-chips

So if you're not looking for the actual props and just want to replicate them, you could reproduce the $5 very easily. I don't know of any way to get the others, though; I've never seen those particular blank chips before, neither in person nor even in pictures.

Those colors were standard issue spirit mold china clays with 412 spots, made by Eastony. They initially produced unlabeled solids, 412-spotted, and 4d14-spotted chips. The scans do not reflect the actual colors very well.

Maybe @BGinGA has some 412-spotted blanks he could sell you. :)

Otherwise, you could make some close-but-not-perfect replicas using 4d14-spotted blanks, which you can buy from Chips and Games here, here, and here until they run out of stock again. "412" means they have four spots, and each spot is about 1/2-inch wide. "4d14" means they have four spots, but each spot is a double-spot with two 1/4-inch wide colors.

... that's assuming you're satisfied with producing replicas, rather than trying to get the actual props used on-screen in the show.

Good luck with your search!
