I feel these get way too little love around here. Got this set recently and it has quickly become my favorite BCC set. With THC prices being what they are, Samurais (or most any BCC set) is way better value imho.

- excellent colors
- classy inlays
- stack like absolute bricks
- shuffle amazingly
- nice weight, almost feel leaded

What’s the story behind these? Was this a real casino or just a made up place used for a poker chip theme?

It's a fantasy set made by BCC. Not sure if it was designed by Michael Patton or someone else at the blue wall or neither :D. I'm sure someone will come along with the right answer

I believe MS Patton designed and commissioned these. I would say leaded. Ask @Potsie1 or @BGinGA for more info.

BCC chips are pretty amazing, but totally discontinued, so they are expensive and hard to find. I considered buying a set way back when they first came out, yeah, I regret that!

The Samauri Palace chips were commisioned by Michael Patton (@MSPatton, owner of HoldemPokerChips.com) for resale on his web site, and produced by the Blue Chip Co. (BCC) on the T-mold. I don't remember who did the design work (very likely @Johnny5 ?).

Not a real casino, and not leaded.

Elijah Muse created the Samurai Palace design.

Cool chips, Samurais were my first clays. It was a little before my time as a chipper, but I believe MSPatton ran a group buy for them with his initial purchase, at least I remember going through a design thread on CT. Still got this card capper left which was part of MSPatton’s semicustom offering later on (he had blanks and stamped a few of these for me).

You look like you need some fracs. Well I have a rack that I don’t need, let me know if you do

Thanks man! Actually I have released the set back into the wild.

Finally got around to taking some pics. I still need to work on my chip photography skills. I have only played with these a handful of times, and haven't oiled them. So some of them are still chalky, and they all have sharp edges still.

I think this is the best looking set of chips I've ever seen. None of the usual gaudiness. I particularly love that cranberry red and deep purple.

Love these chips. Got em during the group buy. Wishing I could add on but not sure that will ever happen!

This was one of two sets I regret not buying back in the day.
Amazing chips!
Use them well and frequently!!

Received some more Samurais today. Never seen the white non denoms anywhere before.
The regular diameter (slightly smaller than Samurai Palace chips) T-mold solids were available in many colors with that stamp from holdempokerchips.com, but they don’t seem to surface very often.

I almost did buy these chips because they look nice but now i only have sample set of them.
