Same base chip color in both a cash and tournament set with the same inlay/theme? (1 Viewer)

Is it ok to have the same chip base color in a cash and tournament set with the same theme/inlay?

  • It's ok only if the spot colors are really distinguishable and different between the two chips

Per the title.

I have a Rounders tournament set with custom DG Tiger 1k chips.

I'm also interested in a Rounders cash and limit set with a DG Tiger workhorse chip. The two chips will never be in play at the same time and the edge spots are very different and would be very different in color.

Am I a heretic for suggesting this?

I'm at this point happy with the sets that I have and at this point I'm right sizing the sets I do have or I'm giving the existing sets more capabilities (able to accommodate fixed limit games, making or buying a cash/tournament set if I already have one but not the other).
