Is a salad spinner necessary when ultrasonically cleaning chips?

No. Some people stir them with a wooden spoon, like a witches cauldron, but I’ve had good success with the spinner.

Is a salad spinner necessary when ultrasonically cleaning chips?

My opinion was that the salad spinner - while creative and effective - created an unnecessary extra step... so I just put about 40-50 chips at a time into the wire basket and used wooden paint stirring sticks from Home Depot to move them around in the US. Worked well.

I just stir them with wooden chop sticks. Works well and I toss them out when done.

Just to be clear, I toss out the chop sticks, not the chips.

I have tried both and can not see any difference in the results.
