Royal Flush
Well, we are all stuck inside with nothing to do... why not post!! Lol
Before I joined PCF I found some FOC or Royal Flush Paulsons on eBay and decided that would be a fun way to get the family out of the realm of always playing Tournament structures and give cash a try... with micro stakes of $.05/$.10 and a $20 buy in who could say no??? The set has continued to grow over time and saddly has yet to see felt time!! I have introduced a few circus games to our players and it seems promising that a cash game is in the near future.
This is an earlier on photo when there was still an obvious gap in the set!! The $1 chips are difficult to get your hands on! One day @Spazhead posted his set for sale and was nice enough to split it up and finally start to fill the gap in this ever growing collection.
Of course playing (2) $.50 is still a $1 bet but I wouldn't be satisfied until I had the denoms needed to complete!! Finally man what a great feeling to add these racks to the set!! It was coming along well!!
Recently @Chipandchair listed his travel set for sale... after purchasing the STD series I was pretty tapped out but he had (140) of the illusive $1 chips... after 2 price drops I couldn't resist any longer.
Yes this impressive set is on it's way to join the rest... it got me thinking... you know I have tons of Dimes but unless you are playing $.10/$.20 you really dont need them. @FordPickup92 and myself use the Apache 4800 cases to carry 1400 chips in a set, so I decided that was the number I need to get to for our final playable set... while over 2000 of these were sitting on the self and knowing anyday the new set will be on my door step I decided it was time to start taking out what we don't need in the primary set...
Saddly everything in the case to the right are destined for a life in the dark... at least for now. You can see the many different shades of chips here, our good friends at BCC definitely had some color variations between runs but also many of these are Paulson mixed in... the final set for now will be almost all BCC except 200 nickles are Paulsons. (Still have dreams of this being a paulson set someday, much better feel and weight than the BCCs IMHO)
Also I bought some $25s but I think the lime green almost white color is terrible, so I think we are going to use Bries 50mm GCR $20 chips and I definitely don't foresee ever needing $100 chips in this set!! $20 buy ins for a home family cash game with a total bank of $2180 should be fine, and easily cover 2 tables.
Final set break down will be:
(300) $.05, (300) $.25, (300) $.50, (240) $1, (260) $5, and (20) GCR $20 chips for a total of 1,420 chips
Final pictures to come... depending on the mail, pretty excited to finally be finished with another set but sad to put the rest of these beauties (about 1,200) in storage for the time being, I love all of the bright and vibrant colors together!! They may be cheaper entry level chips but still love them all, and hopefully over time the set will still continue to grow!
