Well, we are all stuck inside with nothing to do... why not post!! Lol

Before I joined PCF I found some FOC or Royal Flush Paulsons on ebay and decided that would be a fun way to get the family out of the realm of always playing Tournament structures and give cash a try... with micro stakes of $.05/$.10 and a $20 buy in who could say no??? The set has continued to grow over time and saddly has yet to see felt time!! I have introduced a few circus games to our players and it seems promising that a cash game is in the near future.

This is an earlier on photo when there was still an obvious gap in the set!! The $1 chips are difficult to get your hands on! One day @Spazhead posted his set for sale and was nice enough to split it up and finally start to fill the gap in this ever growing collection.

Of course playing (2) $.50 is still a $1 bet but I wouldn't be satisfied until I had the denoms needed to complete!! Finally man what a great feeling to add these racks to the set!! It was coming along well!!

Recently @Chipandchair listed his travel set for sale... after purchasing the STD series I was pretty tapped out but he had (140) of the illusive $1 chips... after 2 price drops I couldn't resist any longer.

Yes this impressive set is on it's way to join the rest... it got me thinking... you know I have tons of Dimes but unless you are playing $.10/$.20 you really dont need them. @FordPickup92 and myself use the Apache 4800 cases to carry 1400 chips in a set, so I decided that was the number I need to get to for our final playable set... while over 2000 of these were sitting on the self and knowing anyday the new set will be on my door step I decided it was time to start taking out what we don't need in the primary set...

Saddly everything in the case to the right are destined for a life in the dark... at least for now. You can see the many different shades of chips here, our good friends at BCC definitely had some color variations between runs but also many of these are Paulson mixed in... the final set for now will be almost all BCC except 200 nickles are Paulsons. (Still have dreams of this being a paulson set someday, much better feel and weight than the BCCs IMHO)

Also I bought some $25s but I think the lime green almost white color is terrible, so I think we are going to use Bries 50mm GCR $20 chips and I definitely don't foresee ever needing $100 chips in this set!! $20 buy ins for a home family cash game with a total bank of $2180 should be fine, and easily cover 2 tables.

Final set break down will be:
(300) $.05, (300) $.25, (300) $.50, (240) $1, (260) $5, and (20) GCR $20 chips for a total of 1,420 chips

Final pictures to come... depending on the mail, pretty excited to finally be finished with another set but sad to put the rest of these beauties (about 1,200) in storage for the time being, I love all of the bright and vibrant colors together!! They may be cheaper entry level chips but still love them all, and hopefully over time the set will still continue to grow!

Definitely can run 2 tables! Looks like starting stacks for a $20 buy in of
$.05 x 15 = $.75 x 20 = (300)
$.25 x 13 = $3.25 x 20 = (260)
$.50 x 12 = $6.00 x 20 = (240)
$1 x 10 = $10 x 20 = (200)

Plus (260) x $5s = $1,300 ÷ $20 = 65 rebuys plus @FordPickup92 $20 grand cardroom x 20 = 85 rebuys.... I think we are all set!!! Lol

There is something gorgeous about solid chips in stacks...Mmmmm, Mmmm! And that green for the 25c is just insane. I love it.

I feel like your taunting me to post some Sunset pron lol

I’ve always loved the simple solid Paulson and BCC versions of these. That’s why I bought my very similar BCC Viva Las Vegas set years ago. Mine of course has the BCC color variation (3 different reds lol) and funky inlays. It gives them character!

Its a fun set. I always enjoy playing on it.

You are always welcome to share sunset pron Bill!! I love the solids!! For a nice little home set, yes these are a bit costly but the bright vibrant colors are very inviting and fun looking!! Meet up worthy... definitely not, I consider them entry level. But I do believe they will do the trick to get my Tourney playing family members into playing some cash!!

I'm with @mike32 I love chips in this category. I don't think their "entry level"

Even Brie brought up a great point last night while we were continuing our ongoing efforts of washing and oiling our 36mm Cincy non WSOP set, that it was our only solid Tourney set and how nice it is not to get confused on denominations or any edge spot issues. We all love chips with crazy colors but it is definitely something to keep in mind! When I first held the sample set of SB 8v tourney chips... yes they are absolutely amazing and vibrant but also the dirty stacks would drive me insane!! The Vs on those chips are the same width as the base color, so when they are stacked and some reuse the same colors man that seems lik it would be a pain in the butt!!

I just mean compared to those awesome Pick Hobson’s of @Lil Tuna, the boat chips, the Jokers Mixed set of @k9dr, or those amazing relabel BTPs (I feel bad that I can’t remeber who those belong to) from the SQM... pretty much everything you guys used are definitely in a different league then these. But for those who haven’t seen these BCC solid Purple $5s in person... there are insanely bright!! Every chip was really well done other than the white/lime green $25... they definitely could have used a bit more lime in that mix, i like the chip color they just didn’t get enough of that color in there!! Lol I think its a good move to get Bries 50mm GCR BCC in the mix, yes they are massive and have edge spots unlike the rest of the set but I think if we ever get that many chip in play it will be a big hit!!

Everyone loved Playing the $20 PCA plaques when we took Bries PCA secondaries to @krafticus game... its just something different that makes you remeber playing those sets.

I would definitely ride up to Finksburg to splash some pots with these one evening @Ben8257. Not entry level at all.
When you guys come down in May I’ll show you some entry level hot stamped dice chips from the 90s. Lol
Still got em buried away in the closet.

@SpaceMonkey420 linking this old post made me realize I should follow up and Share how this story ended!

I wound up getting enough $1 chips to build two complete sets... so we have (1) 1,400 chip set that is built for 2 tables of $.05/$.10 ($20 starting stacks) and then another 1,400 2 table set of $.10/$.20 meant for ($40 starting stacks)
20200830_202140.jpg

Obviously the OCD that I have would love to see those last 2 barrels of dimes found, that would literally finish the set off! We also have (20) BCC GCR $20 50mm chips for value chips in the $.05/$.10 set.

Older pic but this is where they live now! Lol

Truly a micro stakes dream come true, almost all thanks to the fine PCF community!!

The extras have been returned to the community through sales and trades to hopefully become future micro sets of their own!!
