As I was searching around the internet, I came across this posting on Craigslist that had a unique (to me anyway) wood rack with a metal arm/spring that I presume locked the chips into place.

Royal Hotel Nevada $25.00 Casino Chips - $7,500 (Westminster)

I kinda dig the rack. Is there a name for this kind of rack, and can you stack them or do they stand up and down? Any other pics would be cool.

My Dad was a woodworker. I wish I had access to a wood shop in Kansas City to work on things that he would have liked if he were still around. I've wondered about making nice wood racks for chips lately.

7500 is way out of my league of interest for the chips. I was mainly thinkin the rack was cool.

I'm not sure I've ever seen one exactly like that, with a spring-loaded closing mechanism. But I would guess that that is part of a larger storage solution, like maybe it's part of a box or small cabinet that holds three or four of those. But very cool!

I presume the bar locks over the top of the barrels.

I've never seen a rack like that before. I agree w/ @upNdown that it's probably part of a larger set, a case that has room for several of those racks. I've seen many examples of such cases, just never one with racks like the one you've found.

I doubt anyone is going to pay 7500 for those chips. I might be interested in them for 200.

200 seems reasonable fir the chips and I’d do another 5-0 for the rack. But nowhere near 7500. I also found an older ad for the same set where they were asking 10000. No idea where they got those numbers.
