Hey there,

Some history on the chips: Roxley's Iron Clays are very similar in composition to China Clays (they are not ceramics as I've seen some people claim, despite them having a similar appearance with the clearly visible injection molding marks). They were originally made available as a part of Roxley's April 2017 Kickstarter campaign for their edition of the board game Brass, and again as their own campaign in June of 2019. As best anyone can tell, they served as an inspiration for Apache's Bank chips which were introduced here on PCF also in June of 2019.

These were the first set of chips I purchased when I decided I wanted to run my own micro sakes cash games, and as you can tell by the volume I purchased, I did exactly zero research into what made a good set, what denominations I needed, quantities, etc. This was all at the end of 2019/early 2020, and as someone plugged into the board game world both as a hobbyist and for my career, it made what felt like an easy choice at the time! Then the pandemic happened and these didn't arrive until we were pretty well locked down and not getting together in person. By the time we were gaming in person again, I'd discovered PCF and learned a whole lot more, and these chips were replaced before too long.

We used this set to run .05/.10 micro games, operating with the printed denoms as pennies (5 = $0.05, 100 = $1.00, etc.). Once again you can tell that I didn't know what I was doing when I bought them, because my thought process was strictly "5c blind means I need lots of 5s, right?" - though I think with what's here, an argument could be made for this set to work well for a small $1/2 game with printed denoms representing full dollars.

FOR THE CHIPS: Asking $450 $400 shipped CONUS for the entire chip set (wooden box not included), or $40 $35 per rack to break it up.

The wooden storage box I purchased as part of my large order. It has two magnetically held drawers, and will hold 400 total chips. It's a beautiful storage option for a set, albeit it's obviously printed with the Iron Clay branding which probably makes it only desirable for someone using actual Iron Clay chips. Maybe not though, surprise me!

FOR THE STORAGE BOX: Asking $100 added on to any chip purchase, or $150 shipped CONUS by its self.

The chips also came with their own unique dark blue racks as well as blue translucent & branded lids for the racks. Happy to include these with any rack worth of chips purchased, no charge.

Full set breakdown:
120 x 1
580 x 5
180 x 10
220 x 20
70 x 100
40 x 500
40 x 2000

A branded magnetic box that holds a full rack & lid. I’ll include this for anyone who buys chips and wants it.

Similarly, I have two of these larger 4-rack magnetic boxes. Also willing to include one or both for anyone buying enough chips to use them.

Free cut card of choice with any purchase: either a double-sided Blaqk Palms (my house game, poker or bridge sized), or a double-sided Windows 95 Solitaire card (poker sized). :cool

I might be keen to pick these up - as spares for our store / community over here in Malaysia. Thing is we are only pulling the next USA batch (of orders) around Feb but more likely March. If these are still available then, we'll talk. :)

Hey! I’m always on the hunt for unique chips to add to my shuffle stack collection and don’t have any of these. If you’re willing to break off the extra 10 of the “10” denomination I’d love to buy them, or if you’d prefer a barrel of something else I’d do that too. Just let me know!

Hey, easy to part with those! I'll shoot you a PM.

Wouldn't want to trade would you? I currently have these for sale and I really need the money lol. But I've been looking for these chips for a while and they're really expensive for what they are. So this is a good deal that you have

Unfortunately wouldn't be looking to trade for anything at the moment, sorry! I love the SPW set, and a local friend has a T5 tournament set that we've used before. Really fun and nostalgic! I'm sure you'll find a buyer eventually. :)

You may be doing this already, but just a suggestion. List these on a boardgame-centric place like BGG market. The average board gamer views Iron Clays as the pinnacle of boardgaming chips.

Yeah, I’m probably doing this backwards by starting here vs there, but BGG is next if these don’t find a home here. I actually have a thread on BGG looking to ADD specific denoms to this set from some time ago  :ROFLMAO:

But would rather them see poker use than otherwise, so wanted to try here first! I know they aren’t casino/Paulson/clay/etc tier stuff that most are shopping for here, but they’re still great chips for what they are. Unique design, great feel, they shuffle fantastic… so we’ll see!

New week new bump!

Great affordable chips that are versatile in their use. Happy to split this up at rack prices.
