Any idea what my best bet for a roulette wheel is if I'm looking to spend around $100 or less?

No, I know it won't be perfect. Yes, I know there will be hot numbers. I'm just wondering what options are there without breaking the bank.

;););) I hope you getting this type of shot roulette

Joke aside, it may be more worth to get a wooden one at a slightly high cost

A digital option that could run on a Monitor will be much more random and look better than most anything you can buy for under $300, there are even free versions. I have looked into this and personally I am not even all that excited about the $450 wooden wheels as most of them are wood with a relatively cheap number section in the middle. I would budget over $600 minimum or go with the digital as the cheap ones just don't spin as smooth and randomly as one would like enough to actually gamble $ on.

I definitely see what you mean. So far the best one I've seen around $300 is this one from ACEM, and the plastic part in the middle looks kind of sketchy: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/123071932248

Had you found any in the $600 range that looked better?

Being in Toronto you may want to call over to Straitpokersupplies perhaps you could go in and look and get a wheel there. There prices are fairly competitive and supporting local is always better.

planetgaming.ca does stuff like this and his posted prices are reasonable. but on the other hand i've reached out to him several times and never have gotten a response even though he repeatedly is posting ads on kijiji, possibly because im asking for inexpensive stuff that he doesnt feel is worth his time.

ill keep my eyes open on facebook and kijiji for something like this.

I bought one of those. you can prob get it $50 cheaper if you look deep. It’s a solid wheel, I like it and would buy it again.

There are some plastic 18" wheels with metal spinners out there for around $129. In that price range, a wheel with a plastic bowl and metal spinner is about the best you'll find. Casino Supply usually stocks them, but they are sold out right now, likely due to pandemic supply chain issues.

Those smaller wooden wheels tend to be a cheap spinner set inside a wooden frame that gets larger as wheel size increase. It's the same spinner, just more wood around the outside of it, so not really worth the increase in price (my view, anyway).

bumping this thread as Im also looking for one and honestly dont know anything about roulette. My sister asked me for advice as she knows I collect poker chips and participate in forums. Let s assume there is no budget limitation, what are the best value roulettes available? Im also in Canada. Dont mind if it is international as long as it makes sense overall
@allforcharity sorry for tagging you you seem to be a reference in this domain plus you are in Canada as well

I actually ended up buying a roulette wheel. I got this one (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0747ZPT23?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) after getting some advice from @chipinla who has the same one. It seems to be available in a bunch of places from different retailers but the amazon.ca listing had free shipping for Canadians. I know there are some bad reviews about this one and I was a bit nervous, but I'm super happy with it. I'll post some pictures of it later as there don't seem to be many good ones online.

Ok here we go

And obv I already made an offer for the chips. He does not want to split them up - has multiple offers from competing retailers.

this set is epic, I'd like to look around in the store.

when reading reviews online most complaints centered around the brass diamonds on the border either being loose or falling out. Are they secure? they add a nice random bounce to the ball. Would you be willing to stake $ on the device at say a small house event or charity monte carlo?

That's a nice looking wheel, but the sheer age makes me worry a bit about balance and bias.

Did you check to confirm all those chips are clay? Paulson clay?
He was not interested in selling the chips so I didn’t get pics but all the chips on chip guide are thc.

Could also be these though

The house edge on roulette is enormous. As long as the wheel is free from obvious defects and has not been rigged, any sort of subtle bias is not going to offer even a carefully observant bettor an advantage that would come anywhere close to making up for the edge (or, from the player's viewpoint, make the house edge significantly worse than it already is).

So the house should have no qualms about using a facially fair wheel, and a player should have no more qualms about it than they already should (which is to say - don't play roulette if you care about losing money).
