Roadhouse Casino Value Chip Sale Thread - SOLD OUT (4 Viewers)

If I bought 900 1’s and 900 5’s just to get a rack of 1000’s and 5000’s, does anyone want any 1’s and 5’s from me? Haha

At 30c each I’d take several racks for a loaner set. But really heavily used chips don’t have much appeal to me.

Look at it as a discount from the secondary market price of the high denomination chips

LOL. Now that’s a positive spin on things. I do like positive thinking. Negative thinking would be something like, someone is trying to get chips at a deep discount from another member who wants a different denomination.

But no worries, I’ll look at it from your angle, the positive one.

Honestly I’m not buying anything in this sale. I have no need or desire for them.

But if you really want a rack of of $1k’s and $5k’s it is probably going to cost less to sell the $1’s & $5’s at a discounted price than the premium markup for the high value chips.

Selling 18 racks at $30 will cost $360. That equals adding $1.81/chip to the cost of the $1k & $5k chips which is far less than the secondary price increase we have seen for pretty much every oversized chip from Jim’s sale prices.

Good luck in your hunt and with whatever decision you go with.

Actually this does have logic... and given there is a lack of 8v orange chips out there... hmmm

A circle has one side.

I can't find it

I was hoping (but not expecting) the $1ks to be 39mm as they would make a great frac...

I guess I'll just fire up the lathe and take off 4mm in diameter...

Right. And rip off 70% off all the edgespot areas and a good portion of the inverted hat and cane? A gentleman does not joke about such things, sir.

Questions:

1) The sample sets shown... Were those cleared up with TSP/ultrasound/toothbrushes or the like, or just cherrypicked chips in cleaner condition?

2) How bicycle tire-y are the various denoms? I can sort of tell from the pics, but am finding it hard to really see.

Thanks and GLWS!

I realize a bunch of people are down on the condition and quality of these but they can be cleaned and the prices are very low compared to what I have seen for TH&C chips. I want to put together a chip set for $0.25/$0.50 home game every now and then so I would need quarters. Assuming I wait out the first hour and can purchase any quantity, what would be an ideal set up for 8 handed play if I relabeled the $2.50’s? Thanks in advance!

Figure out the total bank you need based on the total amount of buy-ins for your group, and reverse engineer it from there. Luckily your workhorses will be your $1 and $5, which are the least expensive chips.
