He was a performance artist/talented musican/musical author/genre chameleon of unique stature. His signature works came in the Hunky Dory/Ziggy Stardust/Diamond Dogs/Aladdin Sane era. He ws instrumental in bringing the saxaphone back ino rock music. Lol

I caught a show anout him on AUD a few months ago. He nearly didn't survive the LA drug scene. Fortunately; he was able to straighten out before the heroin claimed him. RiP
