I hate to start another one of these threads but I’m hoping to get some expert insight on the direction I’m heading with my custom RHC set. I’m building a custom set on a budget so the chips I have selected are chosen from a less than $1 but no greater than $2 price range. I’m unwilling to swap out my 1s and 100s but will look at changing fracs, 5s, and 25s. I plan to murder all the chips and relabel with my Dakota Sioux concept.

I also encourage any body that wants to share their own custom RHC or THC projects on this thread to please do so.
Thank you all.

Your fracs are quite worn in comparison to the rest of the chips.

Maybe consider Binions LV $1 RHC, Buffalo Bill's Primm $1, or Boomtown Reno $1 as possible substitutes? Spot progression works with these, too.

Thank you. I will definitely check those out. Yeah they are significantly more worn than the rest of the set.

I have a rack of Santa Ysabel $1s in good condition which have a not-dissimilar color to your fracs, if these are of any use... They seem fairly easy to find if you needed more. I think I paid $175:

They are slightly darker and more turquoise than what you are planning.

Very nice chip... FWIW, I was going to use the Ysabels as either fracs or $2 chips in this RHC mixed set I’m working on, but they kind of clash with the Indian Blue HSI $25s. I’m using purple Cleveland 500 secondaries as a $5 chip, which is clearly non-standard, but I just love that chip and was able to assemble a couple hundred:

I’d like something more vibrant for the hundos than the black HSIs, but haven’t settled on anything else yet. Might use some HSI 1K secondary 43mms, whose tan hue would kind of complement this mix of secondary colors.

What are these white chips?

Stumbled upon this thread. Love seeing custom RHC/THC projects. I myself just finished mine today. Can’t wait to see your finalized set/label design @SiouxperStack if it’s not done already, I can see I am late to this party!

I agree. Plus the spot pattern is to similar. Needs more progression. I also think the fives are a little too used for the set as a whole. Mixed condition sets are probably one of my biggest pet peeves (as a chip owner)

So, a few things are happening. First, I have a brand new minty rack of fracs on the way! Second, I am switching out the current 5s and 500s (this was before I landed the mint rack of pinks) For hsi 5s and 500s. the labels are being made as we speak. Better?

last, and perhaps most exciting, I have designed new animal house labels with the help of woody, that will go on the set below.....

RHC relabels: HSI $1 and SY $2 as a non-denom fracs, Kash $100, HS Cleveland $500.

I have 200 white and 100 orange, so the SY2 will almost always be the lowest denom, with a full rack always in play, even at 5c/10c.

Love the reds. What chip is that?

I also don’t like used with mint but I really like paying below the premium for my set. I feel I got good price on the fives but I will admit I do want mint 5s. I’m scratching these fracs all together and will probably sell them with my Chips Casino set.

How much time and effort to murder the HSI’s. I haven’t tried yet but they seem tough

the horseshoe chips are easier to murder than many others. I do it in 2 stages. First stage is removing the over layer. I just watch tv and cut away. Once I get up to a few racks, I switch to removing the inlay with NPR while watching more tv. It takes about 5 hours to complete a rack (which includes washing all the chips to get the NPR off). I have removed close to 2000 inlays (1000 chips)

5 hours a rack sounds right. I think my average is about 4 hrs (remove, clean relabel), but I've done about 2000 chips. ;)
