Hi,
I've been shopping for a 10 person poker table with dining top and I've come down to 3 sites: Dallas Custom Poker tables, BBO & MRCPoker. All are sortof in the same price range $1700-2200 with MRC being the cheapest. I like BBO the best really, but with how expensive they are ($800 for a dining top) it's hard to rationalize them. Any advice/reviews would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If it's a main dining room table, serving as permanent dining table, Chanman tables (a member and vendor here) is the only way to go, IMO.
Best value (and customer service) for the money.
I wouldn't economize on a main piece of furniture, serving two important purposes (dining with guests and playing poker).

I just put in my order with Chanman for a table with a dining top. Because it's going to be my main dinning table in addition to a part-time poker table, I wanted to make sure I had the best quality. You'll read dozens of testimonials on this board for Chanman tables.

@Tomax Btw, where in Louisiana are you? And welcome to the board.

I'm sure he does nice work, but his prices are out of my range. I'm trying to keep it around $2000. I'm just asking about the 3 places i've listed or somewhere else in my price range.

Oh and thanks for the welcome and in the Baton Rouge area.

Cool. If you get a good game going on the weekend sometime and looking for an additional player, let me know. I could make the trip up the road.

In case you didn't know, the prices listed on Chanman's site are Canadian dollars, so when you convert to US, it look a lot better. ;)

His website prices are in Canadian dollars I think, if that helps at all. Exchange rate works in your favor.

I called Chanman and a table comparable to what i'm looking at would cost around $4,000. I'm seriously looking at Dallas Custom Poker tables now. Has anyone ever dealt with them? They seem really nicel.

you should really look into pharaoh USA. Depending on what you’re looking for, they will have similar prices.

I don't have the tools or the woodworking experience to do that.. It's tempting in a way... but pretty intimidating as well.

who's Tony? also people are already saying im crazy for wanting to spend 2k on a poker table. I'm not even sure why i should other than I want one. I've got people willing to play I think, but it's not like i'll be making money off of having one (other than just playing the game itself) and I still would have to get chairs, chips cards etc.

who's Tony?

Just a fantastic human being and master table builder, among other things with wood. He's just that good.

He happens to be a great card player and game host as well..check out his site

It's your life and your dream man. To hell with what people say..

I have a custom Chanman, and yea, it cost me STUPID money. I can't tell you in words how much I DO NOT regret it at all. I LOVE my table. It also features a walnut topper, tuxuede rail with powder coated cupholders. I went as far as I could go. As much as wifey would let me take from our savings which I've already worked my butt off for and put back.

Follow your dream. Tony is the man who can help realize them. He builds these things like they belong in a casino. So in a sense, he brings the casino to your living room, man cave or what have you. That's what he did for me. My dream is once a month, I turn my place into a living breathing poker room!

The equipment Tony creates, makes the game feel and play like a casino.
