Hi everybody! I live in Reno, NV and play poker. I mostly play at Peppermill. Looking to get some better chips. I get excited when I think about custom chips, and then I can't figure out what I want. Currently have a set of Dunes Commemorative. and a small collection of chips collected from casinos. Haven't been playing much since COVID, mostly at home. My youngster is getting better haha

Found your original thread and sorry I missed it and didn't say Hello sooner! So any Hope's or dreams for new sets yet? I saw you post that your son also plays.... does he seem fascinated by chips also? Seems pretty often around here, like father like son!

Any dreams of building a Paulson set yet?

Ben

Well Ben… hehe
I did impulse buy two barrels of UB $500 chips last night! I’m thinking UB chips would make a nice small tourney Paulson starter set… The kid does love the chips. The Rounders are his favorite so far. My wife’s too. They’re still breaking in. I have compression oiled, and they’re still quite dry and stiff (Ty @Stibnite ) I was looking at relabeling some chips for fun, I would only do that to currently common chips such as the Dunes and not to any rare Paulson or others. I change my mind so much that murdering chips and then changing my mind would break my heart. But will probably relabel a set of Dunes. I of course have emailed David Spragg excessively asking random questions at 3am. He’s the best! Planning multiple custom CPC sets. They’re so well made! Paulsons have that familiar casino quality. I will definitely be grabbing a set or two… or three

Haha you definitely have the itch buddy! Lots of options our there, seems like you are going to be around for a long time! Again welcome to the madness we call chipping! @FordPickup92 and I have the sickness also. I think 36 playable sets of chips now. 3 are slugged plastic, one ceramic, one Hybrid ceramic, the rest are clay.

You have to start somewhere. I was drawn in looking for slugged 08 Casino Royalle chips. Nothing special and over paying at $.50 a chip, but also several years late even trying to find those in 2019!

They look like this. Quickly the 05 CdIs caught my eye... but $3 plus per chip! No way I would ever pay that right? AsI shared in your other thread... two years later cough cough!

Again this hobby can be a sickness! But in between looking foe those I started a other Paulson journey. Many around here hate giant Inlays, but I fell in love with this $3 chip at first sight... and Brie bought me my first two racks of Paulsons off eBay, again started small but grew into this

And so many others along the way!

Can't wait to see where chipping takes you, and so much better that mama and your son are also enjoy it with you!

Glad to have you on the forum, and also YW. =)

Greetings and welcome from a Bay Area Chipper! I hope the forum helps you elevate your chipping game and link you up with local Reno chippers and games. Hell...maybe a Reno Meet Up should be in the works? Hmmmm...
