Hi,

last year I bought a 600 Chip Set of Milanos to finally get rid of my old plastic dice chips. After ordering a sample set of Progen80s I decided to design some custom labels for them. Not sure though to use them for my Milanos or a new Progen80 set. At the moment I´m tending to the Progen chips, due to the "more clay chip feeling" and their Paulson Classic colour sheme (and the fact, that these are available in germany :) )

So I downloaded Inkscape and startet from scratch. After several youtube tutorials and try and error I managed to design some nice "amateur" labels. Colour sheme is based on the Paulson Classic Chips and many thanks to @charitycase for providing this awesome thread with all the colourcodes. Suprisingly the colours match pretty good with the Progen80s. Some adjustments to do with the red, but I´m pretty happy how the first samples from my inkjet printer came out. Next step will be a sample of labels set to see how the actual label looks like.

OK, now some pictures. The name "Siggi" is a nickname, tried to find a oldschool font for that. By the way...is it CARDROOM or CARD ROOM in english? Found both spellings on the internet. Not sure about the spade in the background, due to transparency it is not

here samples on paper on the Progen80s. Labels are a previous version, where the "private card room" bending and positioning is not perfect, roundings on the hexagon edges and spade in the background is missing.

Feel free to comment and give some advice. Sorry if the grammar is not perfect ;)

greetings

Looks good to me!

The faux Hub inlay (on your T25) is most often used on a $5/T5 and with 12 "leaves". Scallop shape is often used for $25/T25, which is basically an inverse Hub (pointy ends toward the rim),

Outstanding work on the color-matching.

Although some casinos do use somewhat standardized shapes for specific denominations, there are no actual standards or requirements except in a couple of specific gaming jurisdictions.

For example, I have hub-shaped inlay casino chips of nearly every single denomination in my collection: 25c, 50c, $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, $20, $25, $100, $500, $1000, $5000, $10000, and even 100,000. Some casinos even use the same shape on ALL of their chips. Do whatever looks best to you.

Skip the Milanos

That´s what I was thinking ;)

OK, thanks, had some brief matching to the Paulson THC in mind and you are totally right. Finalizing the designs in a few days.

Looks great. Card Room is 2 words.

Perfect! thanks, mate!

Thanks for all the nice feedback :tup:

How did you make your labels??? I am wanting to do some labels similar to that for my Milano set.

Hi,

I just started to edit with Inkscape. Some hours of try and error and watching some youtube tutorials did the work.

Hi,
I'am new to pcf, so if i'm doing something wrong please let me know. And, sorry for my bad english.

I like your design very much and i would keep the spades in the background.
Adjusting the colors on the edge will be a big challange. I tried it at the beginning, but then i didn't do it.

Do you want to make your sticker yourself or have them done professionally?

There is a picture of my monkeys

Hi,

I finalized my design but have problems now finding progen80 chips. several colours are out of stock, so I will not produce the labels until I get the Chips. Considering relabeling my Milanos now. Maybe I order a small amount of labels here Label to see, if the quality fits my needs. Otherwise I will order here @Gear

Hallo, du kannst olly von jokerchips.de nach deinen Farben fragen. Er hat auch ähnliche Chips, cc mit v8-Spots aus der Scrollform.

I got my labels from gamblerstore.de from Detlef. The normal price is 12ct, maybe you will get a discount if you refer to my monkeys. And 1x free samples are also included.

I'm surprised about the comment that Progen80 chips feel more like clay than the Milanos.
The early china clays -- even the crappy ones -- had material compositions that were much more clay-like in feel than later products.

I've never cared for the Milano chips, and today's modern china clays are much more plastic in composition and feel.

Who sells those 8v on scroll mold?

Sooooo.....after one year :wow: I finished the artwork and sent it to Chris for the custom labels. 700+ Chips have been ordered and now I´m oiling like a maniac :p
Next step is building a custom carrier and a table, so that we can start playing in autum. Still some time, because Chris is very busy right now. Very excited for the outcome though :tup:

Congats, the chips look great! I like both the labels and the chips. Where did you get the Progen 80s from? I have the cheap Palm Imports version of them (they look the same anyway!), and am looking for 20-50 of the grey color, and maybe some orange please! If anyone knows of where I can get them in the US, I would appreciate it!

Thanks, just put an order in. (I think). Chose paypal as payment method, but it did not lead me through the process. I am thinking I will get an email to complete?

Hmm, I chose paypal as well and everything worked out. Did you get the confirmation mail?
