Relabel real casino chips (1 Viewer)

I am very torn between relabeling casino chips ( horizon edge) or not.

The situation is as follows:
- have few racks of HSI 1a
- have 5s and 25s and 100s of Horizon Edge chips
- have 2 racks of CDM 200s

I think the labels of the Horizons are OK-ish. But it had the UV-security thing.
So 3 options:
a) label the HSI and CDM into Horizons
b) keep collecting the Horizons till playable set
c) relabel all into a custom set
d) something else?

Any opinions?

I don't think theres a right answer for this. It all depends on what you want from the set. If you like the labels from one of the chips you have then converting the other chips into that label is also a popular option.

Each denom in my RHC cash is from a different casino (3 of them I relabelled to update the denoms, turning 50c into nickels etc). Then all the barrels $1s are from different casinos. So this set makes sense (to me) to be all different.

My THC set in planning right now will again be made from different location chips, but all will be relabelled into a matching set.

The question is, what stakes do you want to play and how many do you have of any of your chips?
I'd say the hsi 1a are a perfect match to the horizons edgespot / mold wise and would make a great relable candidate for a horizons set.
The cdi are on a different mold than the rest so maybe there are better choices out there.

I don’t know when this site became so relabel happy. If it were me, I’d rather collect for years, than relabel.

Indeed actually it is a personal preference. Regarding wasting of the UV security feature, the question becomes how often you will use/show that.
Another part of me also think there is 'something' about chips with the original casino labels (even without the UV security).

Currently I have
40 x 100s
80 x 25s
140x 5s

My games are 1-1 or 1-2.

I have 240 HSI 1s and don't see myself collecting more HSIs, hence thinking about the relabeling.

Another piece that comes in play is the joy/satisfaction of relabeling and/vs the joy of collecting.
