I don't think that degree of isolation is extreme. It's the same degree of isolation we have today, just lasting a little longer. There's a small but significant chunk of the population that aren't going to get vaccinated, but we'll reach herd immunity even so, and it's going to happen relatively soon.

Hopefully. The rate of vaccination is declining. We'll likely need to get to at least 60% vaccinated to benefit from herd immunity, and even that number may be low.
