These are nice...really nice. Mold presssed ceramics?

Actually I think Jack may have said the edge alignment on the CPCs was really tight. My sample set is from Sunfly

Seems to me you could design the artwork any way you wanted? Not 100% sure though but based on the CPC and Ravenor pics it appears to be the case.

The chip is fully customizable. It's essentially just a molded ceramic

...and to further that i'm 99% sure that any orders from CPC for these chips are done by Sunfly. As far a s artwork they are 100% custom. They do have some premade chips ie: The ravenor spotted and solid and lucid diamond. The also have a couple other lines with one line looking more like a classic Paulson look. These chips are f'n gorgeous! the inlay is on an ultra high resolution media covered by a really thick laminate....even heavier than Paulson's and looks just like glass.

i agree with quicksilver. probably just sourced from sunfly and sold through CPC. i remember Poker Zombie saying in another thread that his alignment was so good just because he designed the artwork himself with near-perfect calculations of the rolling edge dimensions. i'd imagine it's the same here where it came down to CPC submitting really accurate rolling edge artwork.

I have 3 sample sets of the Lucid Diamonds...while the colours are nice, I don't like the feel of the chips as much. They seem plastic-like when compared to other ceramics, even other Sunfly's. The printing wasn't as sharp as I expected, either. I had high hopes for these, but I don't like them as much as other ceramics.

absolutely agree with this. i was quite disappointed myself. i would still recommend that anyone looking for this style of ceramic look at CPC's hybrid line (the red chips pictured on their ceramic page here). it has an actual inlay/label on a ceramic chip with a pretty deep recess. they shuffle and stack great, sort of a mix between a normal ceramic and a BJ S2-type chip.

I will third this notion. Very meh on the sample set I have

This is the Sunfly hybrid chip. I can send you my sample set on their diamond mold if you'd like

The Ravenor and Lucid Diamond chips have full-face printing; thus they are not hybrid chips. Hybrid chips have a recessed center with laminated label.

Sun-Fly printing is typically not up to par with custom ceramic chips produced in the US. The best solution for getting quality printing on Sun-Fly blanks (either apollon molds or hybrids) may be through PGI.

The sample sets are a mix of aligned and unaligned. If you pay that premium all the products will have the same quantity alignment. All our ceramics are on Sunfly materials as they offer a wider range of shapes and sizes.

i do think the samples i received from CPC are of a higher quality than the sunfly blanks i had samples of from circa 2007, which i guess isn't shocking, that they'd have changed something up in 7 years.

looks like the hybrid chip that i like so much is sunfly's apollon hybrid. strange because the violet dawning chip i had didn't really slay me, but seeing the samples from CPC with their logo and the "edgespot" mimicking rolling edge and face design got me on board. maybe its the subtler design that i like. at any rate, the answer regarding CPC's blanks is as expected.

Hi, Brand new to the forum...was looking for info on Ravenor Chips and ended up seeing your posts....Do you still have any samples? Also, how do you like them? I was almost ready to buy China Pharaohs and stumbled across Ravenor Classic and really like the look. I also think they dont have sticker inlays.....Is there an easier way to buy them now with more flexibility on denoms? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to PCF. I actually have some prototypes coming on the cards mold. You can customize your own chips using the mold or just get the stock Ravenor chips. They look great in person too.

The Ravenor chips are full-face printed (not labels). I can send you some Lucid Diamond samples, which are basically the same chip with a different mold marking and a different printed image. Unless CPC offers better breakdown pricing (I have no idea, you'd have to check their web site), your best bet for the Ravenor chips is probably going directly through Sun-Fly's web site (200pc minimum, last I checked).

Having Sun-Fly create custom mold markings for your set is $4000 iirc.
