This one hits all of the worst notes and hits them hard. This is one of the few inlays that actually offends my senses. 1 star, wouldn’t own even if given for free.
  • photo image inlay
  • terrible photo to begin with
  • faux shaped inlays
  • faux shaped inlays have white stroking (border) which is even worse
  • basic and uninspiring fonts
  • Low contrast text that gets lost

Yep, even my rack of these beauties couldn't overcome all of the inherent liabilities......

If I still had 'em today, they'd get murdered in a heartbeat.

And yet you have white Top Hat & Cane quarters in your media. Go figure... :cool

My first set of Paulsons, and I did enjoy them. The bike tire fives was nice and I could almost stand the crazy amount of metal flakes in the 25s and 100s. The inlays however I could never enjoy, they are really bad imo.

Haha, that bad for you?

FWIW those are the true WTHC fracs. I use yellow quarters now though. Don’t know if that tilts you more or less.

Ah, good of you to tell me. :cool

As far as I'm concerned, they're just advertising for GPI -- as if molds weren't enough.

If you don’t like advertising on poker chip inlays, I have got some really bad news for you :cool

Advertising for the manufacturer is a much different matter than advertising by the customer.

But yes, I am pretty picky about my chips. For example, I generally don't buy chips that don't specify the casino's city and state..

I hear ya. Realistically, I don’t have any connection to any available casino sets etc. I love PCAs but I have absolutely no connection to the casino or state etc. Since I prefer Paulsons I really just look for a well executed design scheme that is aesthetically pleasing to me.

Lol I love that this is ruining so many chips for me.

Way better job than most explaining why they’re so bad, but now I look at them and just shrug, “meh”.

Photo backgrounds are not for chips. White outline on faux inlay is just beating a dead horse.
