I just had bid $9105 on a set of vineyard casino chips, Instant regret hit me. This is a strange hobby I’m not really a collector I like to use the things I buy. My AS set gets lots of play at least 2 times a week. Though it’s a decent investment but I can but think I’m cutting value every time it gets played.
I’ve got cards mold ceramics set that I’m waiting on and I think I may move on from the expensive chips.
Anyone else?

Is it a decent investment? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just think that's a question that has to be asked.

But considering my recent WTH moment was spending a lot of cash on fireworks (buy now folks - big shortage this year) I'm probably not the one to be talking about investments, when I'm almost literally burning my money.

Oh crap really? Dammit, I just saw my father who was up from TEN. I’ll have to ask him to run to the FW store near his house.

I'm of the same mindset. I'm no longer much of a chip collector. I really wasn't one to begin with compared to most people on this site.

I have a cards mold set that I'm looking forward to putting into play. It's a custom design so I already have a greater connection to it than any random casino set.

Did your $9105 bid win? Imagine the type of customized table you could have built for you for that coin. For me, that would be a far better improvement in experience than any chipset.

At this point, I'd only be willing to spend that kind of money for an actual full custom Paulson set (which is never going to happen).

It's always mind boggling to me to see people with multiple giant sets of Paulsons and they post pics of their home game on a roll up mat, etc.

I don't have a game that runs frequently but If I did, my Paulson set would never be my regular set in that game due to the wear and tear on the chips and the resulting depreciation. I put my Paulsons in play every once in while but would rather use something cheaper, like China clays. I too am thinking about ordering a custom Card Mold set too to use as my primary set and retiring the CC's. You're not the only one!

Sorry not as an investment but I have lots of money invested. I got out bid so thank god lol.
