Lot 1 includes 3 neat mint ballys $8, 1 near mint Paris $5 and Paris $8, and 1 used ballys $4; along with a lot of Harrahs chips that includes 5 very good condition chips (3 $5s, a $4 and a $2.50, along with some other uses chips. This lot also includes a couple lightly used stratosphere chips and 2 very good stratosphere $5 chips; , 6 good condition Venetian $1s, and 5 excellent condition Aladdin planet Hollywood chips. Each group has a couple well used chips in the mix that you can take or leave.

Also, can anyone tell me anything about the ceramic looking shangri-las $5 chip that's packaged up? It looks like it's not worth 2 cents, just wondering why it's all sealed up lol

It's a $5 denominated Limited Edition chip (1000 made) from the Riviera. The packaging you are referring to is called a "flip", which some collectors use to store their chips. Doesn't affect value as you can just rip it out of the flip.

I think it depends on how the person stored their chips. I would say that most collectors would put their nicer and/or more expensive chips in air-tites and the more common chips in flips. The loose chips maybe either recent purchases or the most common. Usually if a collector uses a flip, they either store all of them in binders (using a plastic binder page) or flip box.
