What an incredible meetup! It was my first time in close to a decade (out-of-context fans... go ahead and post this... you deserve it

) and I had forgotten how much fun these can be.
First and foremost, a million thanks to
@bergs, The CLB and canine co-host Roscoe for organizing, arranging and running this the whole weekend. I've had a little insight into how much work and organizing a meetup takes so for that alone, words can't begin to describe the sheer amount of appreciation there is for arranging everything and making it all go off without a hitch (ignoring the soda explosion at the literal very last minute). Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you again. This was a remarkable weekend and three-and-a-half days of decompression and degeneracy I've needed for quite a while now.
To old friends from way back whom I haven't seen in what feels like ages,
@H|Q,
@Leonard and Keith (sorry... I'm bad with names, let alone usernames). It's remarkable that friendships can carry over
two separate forums and 15 years! It was fantastic to see you all again and truly hope it's nowhere near as long between visits.
@H|Q, SCS III sounds like a brilliant idea!
For the O.G. Mass. crew, especially
@DarPodo , SilverSpoonMike,
@onerand , I had a great time playing at your tables, cash and tournament. For all of our benefit, I'm thankful you made the trip here for the meetup. It's fantastic to get to meet parts of
@bergs original crew. I can see why you were part of that group and it's amazing you made the time and effort to make the trip here. I truly hope to get to see you all in person again.
@slisk250 ,
@Potsie1, thanks for the great table talks, both at and away from the table. It's always great seeing you!
@PAZ bread is amazing. 'nuf said. Mind absolutely blown on that. If you know, you know and if you don't you're missing out.
HDK, infinite thanks for dealing the final table at the main event. If I hadn't still been in it to the gory end, I had volunteered to do that mostly thankless job. Super well done and managed. Nobody would have caught the three flushes on a three-flush tabled hands fouled deck. Great catch that something wasn't 100% kosher there.
Oh, and that main event....
Guess what's now in the background on all my Zoom calls for the foreseeable future.
I was down well below average stack when the final table started. A few helpful hands on what was a mostly card-dead second half of my tournament helped me gain some momentum to finish much better than I really should have.
Massive apologies to anyone I forgot or have @'ed incorrectly. My memory for names to faces has always been poor, but add usernames and freely flowing Leonard-margaritas, and all bets are off.
Once again, a huge thanks to
@bergs and the CLB for hosting, letting nearly twenty crazy degens invade their beautiful house. I hope we didn't upset the neighbors too much. I had an absolute ball and am already looking forward to RIA II and the mini-meets between now and then.
