If you don’t like the inlays, you don’t deserve the chips!

I thought @RainmanTrail was simply providing me free Friday entertainment? Either that, or trying to start some fistfights here on PCF...

This would be a great design study project, if the inlays were excised from the base chips and simply compared raw design vs raw design.

Weed out all of the size and mold bias, and see what's left standing at the end.

I don’t want to vote on any of them just because I can’t only look at the inlay. I’m simple like that. :D

Edit to add: the exception being the grand Vic. I can comfortably vote on those.

Inlay design and chip can't be entirely separated though IMO. That's why I love the Vineyards but hate PNY. Both are giant inlays. One works with the chip, one doesn't. Also, people just like color matching stuff in general.

I do lol at the subtle attempt to skew results though. It's data *chef's kiss*.

Trying to post neutral polls. Not adding any text to them. Some pics are better than others, but a man only has so much time lol

For me, my approach on these votes was to:
  • Ignore the casino/location
  • Ignore chip color/edge spots (unless they caused visual problems with the inlay art)
  • Focus on the inlay art; uniqueness, balance, sloppyness, etc
  • Add bonus points for shaped inlays

@RainmanTrail how about a poll for Le Cove, Aria, Dunes?

They're on my to do list. But @Payback asked me not to post any more of the polls until @Tommy can chime in, because it can start to overwhelm the forum and look like spam. Particularly for the people who may not like them.

Maybe we can create a separate polling section so that only the people who want to participate sees them, instead of filling up the first 5 pages of the 'general' sub forum.
