Does anyone have advice on how to clean rack check marks off chips? Will scrubbing with soap and water do the trick, or will I need something more abrasive?...I've remember hearing people talk about magic erasers, but can't find the thread. Will this destroy the otherwise pretty minty chips?

Agree with what's been said. If the rack marks are on the inlay, Magic Eraser will actually convince you that they are magic! On the clay surface, they are really, really good. Just remember, the Magic Eraser will take off the rack check mark and the chip surface. Since the rack check mark is much softer than the clay surface, Magic Eraser works great, until you start taking off the chip surface. Ultrasonic first, then Magic Eraser - very carefully.

This is my favourite snapper, I took it from New Orleans two years ago. Only later I realized the rack check mark on a side (other side it's OK)
I'd try removing the mark, but I fear it will ruin the label (this chip has a sentimental value to me :cool )
Any suggestion?
thanks
