I think time frame is important for this question as well.

I’ll only be impressed by 20 or more in a minutes time. Go!

what does bump mean ?

whats the difference between a cash set and a tourny set ?

who has the best chip collection in here and what is their home address ?
Bump is posting in a thread to make it appear at the top of the 'new posts' list.

Cash sets are used for cash games, and tournament sets are used for tournaments. The quantity and breakdown of the various denominations in each are tailored to meet the specific needs of each game type.

Larry @pltrgyst in central Florida has one of the largest chip collections. 'Best' is rather subjective.

Okay, quid pro quo: Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Thank you for the INFO I appreciate it your time. As far as your food question. You can label a hotdog anything you want but if you start calling pizza a sandwch I'm going to have to unfriend you. TTYL

Do clay or ceramic chips get damaged from falling on the floor ?

How do the edges get SO rounded and shitty looking ?

Does the clay crack in half or chip away easily ?

Can you clean them to look nice again if they’re dirty from playing ?

I play in my basement, and I have a rug underneath my table. When a chip does fall it is usually ok. I have dropped a chip on the basement floor that wasn't protected from about 3 ft up. It broke into three pieces (sample set chip that I glued back together). Ceramic chips might "chip", but I doubt they would break unless you were being malicious with them.

You usually see this in a casino when the chips are being used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You'll most likely never get this type of wear from home use.

Again, home use it shouldn't be a problem. China Clays do damage easier than standard clays. Even then, it takes awhile (in my experience anyways)

Yes, I clean and oil my chips

The first pic is when I got my Bourbon CPC's. They didn't need cleaned, but they improved greatly with a little bit of oil.

Carpet or concrete?

The answer would be 'probably not' (carpet) and 'probably' (concrete). I cracked a cermic chip in 3 dropping it in concrete.

As Andy Dufresne said, time and pressure.

Typically, just the surface-to-surface contact from stacking, racking, splashing and shuffling. It's a problem in a casino where chips are in use 24/7. Much less so in a home game (ask yourself the last time you saw a boat chip bicycle tire... Now go into any casino that's been in a year and look at their $1 and $5 chips...)

In home games? No. Don't abuse them, and they should last you several lifetimes.

Yes.

Dawn dish soap and a scrub brush (and some elbow grease). I use a cheap electric toothbrush (Darth Maul Kylo Ren FTW!)

Paulson racks fit the tightest. Great for Paulson’s and CPC’s. They are available from Apache or ABC (vendors on here) I believe.

I personally like the extra 1mm of space in the racks from CPC. They are tight enough and easy to place barrels inside when people in your game try to help after the game is over. I hate it when I have Paulson racks and then people try to help me put the barrels in after a game is over.... cuz they are always trying to stuff the last chip in.

Really cheap racks from Amazon are horrible. They are super loose fitting. Junk.
