I'm a newbie here to PCF. Hopped in a week or so ago and I've ordered a few starter sets to kick off my chip addiction. My PCA set is my favorite and I'd like expand it. I've got $.50, $1, $5, and $25s. Looking to fill in the set with $100 and $500s. I have seen some auctions or sales and know these are rare chips. Thought I would put a feeler out here to start my search. Thanks for reading!!

awesome starter set
Timing worked out great. Not sure I'm supposed to call out specific members on sales but had a member selling a rack and I mentioned my intent and he got me a whole set put together and shipped on my first day in the forum! There are some awesome PCF members on here!

Those are soft bristled detail brushes. I used one of them to clean some of the Cincinnati's by hand and oil to see how they would turn out. Dirty on the left, cleaned in the middle and cleaned and oiled on the right.

just wait for the ultrasonic... i too used to do the scrubby brush and magic eraser method. its tedious and cumbersome plus time consuming. I think I washed and dried over 500 chips on Friday in about an hours time with the ultrasonic method. Life changing.

Glad to hear that! Snow held up my shipment of the ultrasonic a bit with highways being closed down for partial days. Hoping to see it this week. The soft bristle detail brushes were $4 at one of the stores I was looking for the Lundmark at, so figured they were worth a shot for anything I wanted to hand scrub. Do you use the salad spinner with yours?

Yes salad spinner is a must.

I didn’t take too many photos but here’s one of the setup in my basement.

Oh wow, that's a night and day difference. My Horseshoes are pretty bad (as most from the casino were) and I'll have fun seeing what they do to the clean water. Thinking it will be black. I'll get my salad spinner bought tomorrow.

My water after the 500. real murky and brown. my chips didn't even have build up or crud on em, just the usual dust/dirt.

Yup, my rate is about 500-600 per hour working by myself.

+1 on ultrasonic and a salad spinner is a must. It agitates the chips which significantly enhances cleaning power and more importantly reduces the amount of time the chips need to be in the ultrasonic/TSP. Keeping chips in too long can lead to color fading or worse such as stripping away hotstamp foil.

@BGinGA yes I definitely plan to use distilled water... Our water is filled with chlorine and tds ratings are not good. Back in my saltwater fish tank days, we has a lot of filtering to do before water ever made it to our tanks
