I'm surprised I haven't posted here yet.

But it has to be the older full sized inlay.

I think it's the color matching on the lion logo that makes this work so well. The house mold itself is clean and simple and far enough from the edge of the chip that it's unlikely to promote flea bites. From a design standpoint, they don't get much better.
Are these https://air-tites.com/collections/m...cts/ring-type-air-tite-model-x6d-40mm-black-1 holders?

The type X are kind of large for most chips. I use the type I holders:

If you know you have some chips that are a little smaller than normal, or even larger than normal, you can get 38mm or 40mm rings that fit in the type-I holder.

Also, a perfect size for card caps.

I have to admit... wasn't a huge house mold fan when I joined... but my dad when he found out I was getting into chipping gave me 3 old chips he had in his night stand... original Trump Plaza chips... also the Taj was the first casino I ever played poker in. Scratching my head like many others around here of what a "grail" set would mean to me, it crossed my mind that a set of Trumps AC chips would be pretty damn unique and amazing for me...

Of course many years after all of those casinos have closed down and very high price tags per chip. I thought maybe I could do a mixed set of all the casinos together... not having the original idea of a "rat rod" set (though mine was a couple years prior) it started coming together like this

Aswhat makes these chips particularly special to me is that they had soo many different limited edition chips, the idea of different art on each of the $5s just got me that much more hooked on the idea of making this dream a reality... plus the "collector" factor in limited edition chips yet another bonus!

As time went on and years later I started realizing that maybe I could make a playable set of each of the 4 casinos...

I'll never forget the day I finished my first rack of Taj $5s... it took several years of buy singles but made it happen!

I couldn't believe it... but maybe an ole blue collar boy could pull of a dream set!

Well it's been quite some time since my last family photo so I got them all out today. 1874 (and counting) ((and more than the prive of an economy new car invested)) original Trump AC chips mixed between the 4 casinos

Like many others (with house mold AC sets) i plan to use snappers as fracs though I have 2 racks of Blue Starburts I plan to mill and make Taj quarters.

For those that haven't felt original AC house mold Paulson chips... they are absolutely amazing! Especially the old school leaded ones, only negative is that early on they but the currency recess too close to the edge of the chip with made them prone to flea bites, otherwise pure perfection and 100% in my never for sale collection!

Very impressive Ben.

My goals are much smaller. Just going for 20 different barrels of Atlantic City $1 chips.

So is the goal to have shuffle stacks? Or do you like how you can have 5 barrels in a rack? Is for trading purposes? Is it to have multiples if they become valuable? I'm trying to figure out barrel collecting versus singles collecting. Thanks

to play poker with. I use 400, (20 barrels of 20) $1s with my regular house mold cash set, or with my limit set. I have mixed casinos in my house mold set, why not mixed casino in my $1s as well, AC $1s are close enough that it's not distracting to play with them mixed and I like the different look.

I know a few that have done the mixed AC $1s and they are amazing! I have singles of each... as you likely know the problem with AC chips is that the gaming commission of NJ requires all chips to be destroyed AKA a $5 chip cost $5 to harvest you you are not getting any, like building a live set. The problem is when you get into those higher denoms not as many people were willing to walk out with those I. Their pockets and as the casinos closed... the values started going UP!

Taj snappers for example... I will take every one I can get my hands on for $15 each, some of the other snappers in the pictures above are even more. Some $5s are $10 - $15 each whole others can be $50 plus and I don't hold any out of the set... again one of those sets that you just have to love and no worry about the cost, it would hurt my feelings to figure out what I actually have invested in that set... but I love them and don't really care what they are worth, they aren't going anywhere!

Congratulations on the AC set, they are amazing chips!
