Poker Wall Decor? (1 Viewer)

YESSSSSSSS! I was just thinking about doing the same thing the other day! I have an 8 foot table that I built, but usually my games are 4-6 people, and my table does take up a lot of room in the basement. I was thinking of building a 2nd smaller table, but I would still want to hold on to the big one for the times I do host a larger game or tournament. Mounting it on the wall is genius.

I was trying to think of a way I could have it on the wall with cards and chips so it looks proper art, but without damaging the chips or table....magnets?
I saw this video recently where DIYers mounted a shuffle board to the front of their basement bar for storage. If you had a bar or built one for your poker area, you could account for your larger table and put it there under the lip.

Print this and put it in a frame

I have a small poker room, but I've filled it with lots of stuff, Infact.

Will share my room here..

I have some hockey stuff, numbered plates of Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky. As well as autographed photos of Brendan Shanahan and Brett Hull!

Ive also got chips in display cases I purchased from Michael's. Ive also got a larger display unit I scored from the Classifieds back before Christmas this past year...one of the cabinets has pretty cool hard to find customs! I'm very proud of my Clubhouse and Knollwoods sample sets. 15842382302612682083254877002278.jpg1584238297277396606834134713060.jpg15842382074655983357589799186438.jpg

I do LOVE my fear and loathing poster.

Hi All!

Love this thread and wanted to bump it.

I love UNCUT SHEET art.

I have been searching the globe for an UNCUT SHEETS of ITALIAN PLAYING CARDS. Yes. I realize that most of us here deal with the tradional decks of cards we see in our home games and casinos, but I would love if anyone had any insight about this.

I managed to PM a MONDIANO Rep on Facebok who said "we do not sell uncut sheets to the public for the purpose of protecting our brand" .... So from what I understand there is no way to get an uncut sheet from the factory into anyones hands? I find this VERY hard to believe.

https://www.bing.com/images/search?...&form=HDRSC3&first=1&scenario=ImageHoverTitle

just take a look at the beautiful artwork!

CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS?

PS. Did I mention that each region (state) in Italian tradionally has their "own" design/style of deck... so in theory you could have a wall dedicated to different regions.... for the Americans here, Imagine each state having their own deck of playing cards... would be super cool as wall art!

Contact Modiano, DalNegro and Grimaud. They may help you. You may also try Piatnik.

I have tried on more than one occasion to submit a inquiry on their page and everytime I get "your submission cannot be processed at this time"....

I will have to call them.
Well sure, maybe also try to find retailers, they may have better contacts. There is always eBay.....

Just called the number on mondiano.com website and it gets me to a company that seems to handle Mondiano sales in USA..... the person I spoke to said I need to speak to them directly …. they do not have a number, and all they gave me was an email.

Does Mondiano not have a number I can speak to someone. This seems so ridiculous.

Email sent to CARTE@mondiano.it … and it bounced back. Email does not work.

Will contact Dal Negro Thanks @surfik

I have a deck of Modiano SICILIANE (from Sicily).
I could scan them and send you the image...
Or you can buy a set of 16 different decks for just 110euro.

More info and history about those cards here:

I have thought about scanning them, but I guess that just takes away from having an actual uncut sheet of artwork/cards.... thanks though!

Update:

Dal Negro responded to me on Facebook messenger (I wrote the message in Italian and in English to ensure they understood):

“Good morning,
I am sorry to inform you that we cannot any product sales abroad, if the customer does not have a VAT number to which to issue an invoice. Moreover, the press sheets cannot leave the factory, for privacy policy.
I'm sorry we can't help you.
with regards
dal Negro Team”

Is this real life? Is it possible they are seriously worried about “privacy” of their card sheet stock or artwork??? They must realize that any competing company can buy their cards and have them analyzed and copied right? And yet they refuse to sell uncut card sheets. Makes little sense to me refusing $$$.

So annoyed.

My poker room spends most of its time as our dining room - I just bring out the table topper and chips when it's home game time. However the room has some cool stuff on the wall. We have a some prints and collages from our roadtrip's. We took my old 350Z around Europe for 2 weeks, then our honeymoon in the US had a Camero SS as we drove from San Francisco to Miami Beach :cool

That’s a great table, what is the size (diameter)?
Thanks! The "basis" used is a cheap table with folding legs. The felt is custom gaming suede by @T_Chan.
The rail has been made (and the whole thing has been put together) by a talented carpenter friend of mine who hadn't even seen a poker table before he did this:D
The diameter is 128mm (or a little less than 50.5in), marginally OK for 7 players. Rail width 12.5cm wide (ie absolute minimum for jumbo cupholders in the rail), player area 22.5cm wide, central betting area 58cm in diameter.

Moved my table and chairs out of the poker room to do some deep cleaning in here this weekend (cat on the floor not included). My wall art pays homage to my all-time favorite movies.
