Hello everyone.

I'm looking for suggestions to play poker tournaments in Vegas.

My daughter has just qualified for the "UNAA Worlds" Ninja League Championships in Vegas. We will be there for a week in mid July, and I would like to get some poker in. But I have questions.

1) Are there tournaments that don't cost $100. I mean are there cheaper ones?
2) Where is the best place to play poker in Vegas?
3) Which casinos should I avoid?
4) We are staying at The Orleans, is there a bus or shuttle to the strip?

Bravo poker app might help. If you want a softer field I'd avoid bigger casino like Aria and aim at more touristy ones.

The Orleans is already a good poker room.
"good" is all in perspective I suppose, but yes, staying at the Orleans should satisfy a lot of poker action. Southpoint (during their regular schedule) runs $60 daily tournaments that are fun and large. Ballys (Horseshoe) & Sahara + more run sub $100 dailys as well.

Another app besides Bravo I'd suggest is Poker Atlas. GL !

Yes, Orleans is good and you can find tournaments for under $100, you might just have to look for them and play in smaller rooms or off-peak hours to find them.

Of course, it's been a couple years since I've been there and a lot has changed in the world since then, including lots of inflation :)

I enjoyed Resorts World. Very nice atmosphere IMO. Games I saw were $160 buy in at noon and 7pm. Also had 1/3 cash.

Out of curiosity, I had to Google Ninja League Championships. I was not disappointed — looks cool as hell!

I gotta be honest here...when watching some of the stuff they do in practice, I'm blown away. I went through Special Forces Training both in Canada, and at Ft.Bragg in the US. I bet 3/4 of the soldiers could and would fail (meaning 2 misses and you are out) the courses they run. The amount of upper body strength they need to have, along with agility and speed is totally mind-boggling.

Poker Atlas. You can sort by by casino, day, time & buy-ins. Click on the tournament at it will show you what the rake is. Some are not very player friendly.
