As I mentioned in the introduction section, my friends and I have recently decided to get a regular game going after a long break from playing. I am the lucky one who has to host haha.

Anyway, I'm posting here because I am pretty proud of my set up. Right now the plan is to play a regular cash game (.25/.50 blinds). Overall I spent around $785 which I feel is not bad for my setup, also considering $140 went to shipping for the chips and table materials. Here is the breakdown of my spending to get set up. Let me know what you folks think, anywhere I could have saved money, anything I missed? I'll include some pics too.

Table Total: $339.57
-Plywood $45 ea. - $78

-Total (YourAutoTrim.com Order) - $234.90 ($255.10 - $20.20 discount)
Table Foam $29.85
Rail Foam $47.95
Speed Felt $56.85
Shipping $120.45

-Rail Vinyl - $26.67

Chairs: $103.50 (9 x $11.50 ea.)

Chips: $326.00

-Denomination - Qty
25¢ - 190
$1 - 215
$5 - 70
$25 - 20
$100 - 5

Chip cost $300
Shipping $26

Cards: $16.00

Very nicely done. Table looks great and so do the chips. Well done. The only thing I'd suggest is more $5 chips. I've played in a few $.25/.50 games and inevitably we end up needing more $5s. I think two racks of fives is pretty standard for a single table $.25/.50 cash game, especially if you want to have built in room to grow.

But a very impressive start. Way better than my first time hosting on a folding table with dice chips...

Thanks! That's great advice. Everyone basically buys in for 50-60 bucks, so this may never really comes up but should there be a max buy in anmount?

That’s typically what our buyins are as well. But it’s the rebuys that start to require more chips. Our games are pretty loose but it’s not unusual for people to buy in for a few hundred by the end of a night of no limit.
