So, I have purchased my first set of chips for normal play, and chose Milano.

My concern is, if I want to take the players beyond cash games and go tourney style, the Milano chips only go to $10,000.

Frankly, I'm not fond of the idea of $5,000 and $10,000 increments being so close together. Would rather have $25,000 and higher.

Which means I need to find some plaques and prefer to get some quality ones which relatively match my Milano set. Most I have seen are either clearly nothing similar, or are basic dice style--which I can't stand, nor can I determine quality of them.

Any help would be great, thanks!

I need to start a Milanos owners thread!

You would need to get custom MSKs at $4+ per plaque but you probably don't need as many as the MSK minimums.

Your best best would be to contact Gear and have custom labels made, then buy Milano blanks and just apply your labels.

I'm liking the blues for your $25k

Or these generic "formal" plaques:

Great choice in choosing the Milanos.

The set is ripe for relabeling for higher denoms.

I think the generic plaques go pretty well with the chips, if you go that route.

I love the Milano blue $10 chips... but have no use for $10 chips in any circumstances.

I wish I could simply relabel the blue $10 chips to $25,000 chips.

Those oval plaques from MSK might be the route I end up going though, as I love the customizable.options available.

Just relabel them. You could peel and swap the labels on a small number pretty effectively, or talk to @Gear about printing labels for blanks.

Am I able to order Milanos as blanks?

I dont know anything about changing labels. I'd have to pay someone for that.

Thats why I chose blue for you. You can buy them as blanks, no need to hassle with relabeling, then just get custom labels from Gear. Done.

Yeah, searching for "double trapezoid chips" is probably the best way to find them. Labels on china clays are basically stickers. Changing them isn't rocket science, just a bit tedious for large quantities. Removing inlays from Paulson chips is much harder, by comparison.

Being a larger denomination, I probably won't need more than 100.

but man, blue milanos are beautiful.
