After a year of playing with “dice chips” I took the plunge and invested in better chips and an overall better playing experience. After getting samples (best advice ever) from APC I settled on Royals, mainly for the colors (that really pop after oiling and how they feel in hand).
With the awesome labels from @Gear I made a perfect tournament set and after oiling and applying hundreds of labels I’m really happy about the choice I made.

Thank you

Indeed! I might have overdone it a bit but they dried up nicely (eventually)
I did as well; They were my first adventure-in-oiling and I was lucky that they were very forgiving (and very thirsty). Beautiful set! Although I've got 5000 other chips ranging from Paulsons to Sunflys to CPCs, there's still a place at my table for these; they are a great chip!

These look great! Plus the Royals have the added bonus of making me feel like I'm playing on Poker After Dark while only losing $100. It's the little things.

Kudos for jumping down the rabbit hole and ridding your game of dice chips forever! Excellent choice on the Royals - if I were ever going to buy China Clays, it’d be those.

Wow! I can't get over how amazing these look. They're gorgeous. The label really brings out the chip so well.

I thought labeling first when they were dry was a better option but if they stick after oil, all good. Nice chips!!!

I thought that oiling the whole surface of the chip would be better. I did let them dry for about 5 days before applying the labels so they are now stuck pretty good there.

great job.

In 6 months you'll be buying paulsons
Unfortunately or fortunately for my budget, being in EU, this could be a costly experience. I would rather improve my game than (another upgrade of) my chips :hearts:

This is exactly what happened to me. I thought I was happy and set with my majestics.... give or take 6 month and I'm head over toes down the rabbit hole buying paulsons left and right for my relabeling project...

This hobby will be your finacial ruin, but you'll have a lot fun along the way;)
