Sitting Out
Hi guys,
It's a pleasure to be in this wonderful forum where we can discuss about our addiction
I'm 26 years old from Milan. I work as a marketing and data analyst.
I started playing poker in 2016 in a poker room next to me, and than I started gradually to move all around north Italy to join the best poker room and casino's. I usually play live poker tournaments and cash game (except during covid). I host sometimes home game microstackes (0.25/0.50) with my friends.
Here in Italy there's not neither big poker or chips culture so it's very unlikely to find someone to discuss about. Unfortunately here live poker actually is not legal but at the same time is allowed by the police departments (except for the 3 casinos)
In Italian poker rooms you can find ceramics or plastic chips with metal insert. I personally don't like both, the first are to much light and the others to much heavy.
Sometimes I play tournaments in Sanremo casino (very cool place I recommend you to visit). Here you can play 100€ tournaments buyin, and 2/5; 5/10€ cash game. They use abbiati poker chips, very cool.
During my home game I use 2 set of costume chips I've bought. The first one is a costume set from the napolitan shop "play to win". Ist a 500 chip set of plastic metal insert with a very cool label's costumisation. The secondo one, my favorite, is a 500 chips set of China clay (progen 80). I really love this set and the feeling of these chips. Perfect weight and good colors. Recently I've also started to collect real casino chips from all suppliers (Paulson, Matsui, abbiati). Later I will post some photos.
If you have any question, I'm here.
