They're $60 a piece on amazon. they are called "bestmassage office chair desk gaming racing high back computer task swivel executive seat" haha

Sounds like they are made right here in the USA. lol
Buy one and try it out. If its sold by or fulfilled by Amazon, then returns are no problem if you don't like it.

The chairs I really want to get someday, once I have a dedicated high-end poker room  :whistling:, are vintage Knoll Pollock Exectutive Desk Chairs:

I had one of these in a previous office for about six years. They swivel and tilt, and I never had any back strain, despite sometimes being chained to the chair for 12+ hours at a time. They also look great. (There are some other colors, e.g. tan, but the black is the classic.) Finding 9 matching ones would be a challenge, especially at a decent price, but it would be worth it.

New from Knoll these are $2,500+. Used they seem to typically go for more like $450. With hope in bulk, I could find a seller who would go lower. The thing is with chairs like this is that they are very durable, and retain value because they are design classics... I would expect if I used them for 10 years, they would still be worth about the same after a decade. Might even go up in value.

So it is more like a free rental than a big purchase, if one can float the price for a decade...

it will come in a box, ill see if i can build it without the arm's. seems like a good solution! ill try that out. thank you

I believe you can. Its only 4 bolts per arm but it may jeopardize the structural integrity of the chair.

We have these at work in fake black leather. I bought one for my home office in real leather about 8 years ago. Worth every penny IMO.

Those are pretty much the same ones I got from @pokersepp years ago. They're also in use at the local Concord Card casinos. You can sit in them for 10+ hours and you won't notice anything. They're not too comfortable so you'll fall asleep but you're definitely not gonna be hurt or bothered by sitting so long.

awesome! how is the padding on the bottom? pretty decent?

Pretty Decent yes. Compared to a folding chair? GREAT. You do get what you pay for though, so they aren't as good cushioned as some of those really nice office chairs.
Specs say 2.5" of foam.
I have sat on them for 10hrs also and never thought about it, but then again i'll sit on a 5 gal bucket for 10hrs if I get to play poker lol
