Now that I get considering that CPC's never "survived" a casino...... Do you let them break-in naturally or do you have to help them along? In other words do you bag them and tumble them?

I play mostly in Casino's not in home games. Since most of the casinos in my area use Paulson's that is the chip I prefer. Something about the sound, the smooth edges, the softness yet hardnes. The dirt and the grime and the human oil doesn't bother me a bit.

I remember the first set of uncirculated Paulsons I purchased, Crystal Park Casino. I remember thinking to myself "WTF". I couldn't believe that casino chips started out this way. Dry, brittle and with sharp edges! I honestly thought I had been scammed.

I tried introducing them into my home game and after one full year, despite being authentic Paulsons, it just never felt right to me. Nothing but circulated Paulsons in my home games from then on.

I'm with you about the sound and feel of used casino chips (clean tho, not being covered with feces and turburculosis.). It seems to me that getting brand new Paulsons worn down to "used" condition is near impossible over a lifetime of normal home game activity, considering that casinos run 24/7/365 and only replace chips every 4-7 yrs iirc. Cost is a major factor in my decision to purchase used Paulsons also.

Thank you! Finally someone who shares my affinity for the real thing. However when they get worn to the point that 21 will fit in a rack I cannot accept that.

If I'm buying chips I'm getting them into play. I've been pretty profitable with them so far :)
I did have to ask one guy that slammed a bet down not to do it again. I explained why. That was the only minor incident. I'm not buying chips to look at them sit on my shelf. They neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to see the felt.

I haven't had success with them. Hence the pic of one of the many "all ins" from that night.

Did anyone notice I have chips for sale?

Sorry, proceed....
