"Did you ever feel as if the whole world was a tuxedo, and you were a pair of brown shoes?"
- George Gobel

When is rains, it pours. :(

I bought these at various prices from 6 different countries. Selling them at my average price per chip.
The funds from the sale of 20 x PNY $20s will be going to directly to @PAZ for his generosity in helping me complete a rack of $20s.

Not splitting at this time but split prices are listed below. @toothpic and @Chawks45 have dibs on some racks if the set ends up getting split.

500 x $1 - $450 per rack

200 100 x $100 Secondary - $83 per barrel or $415 per rack
60 40 x $500 Secondary - $320 per barrel

If sold as a set, buyer can choose which $100s they want, or take them all.

Thank you for the idea Tommy but I can not accept. The gesture should continue in a direction not towards me. Perhaps pay it forward when the opportunity presents itself?

Good luck with a/c, try to stay cool!

I had to replace both the upstairs and downstairs HVACs within 1.5 years apart. Ouch that stung. Luckily got no % financing on both. Just paid off the upstairs one last month. It's like having 2 extra car payments. I upgraded from builder grade (China Clay) to Paulsons though. GLWS!

Is this set of chips leaded?
I don't think so. They were made in 1998.
They are guaranteed to be at least the revised leaded formula @6-10% since these were factory produced between 1997-1998, oversized RHC inlays lose an average of 0.46-0.6 grams per chip, if a new(39mm) PNY weighs between 9.1-9.3 grams max and under a chip they are revised leaded (post 98 excluding some colors which still had original formula till 2003-2004) if they weigh 9.5 grams minimum or over a chip they are original leaded @ 40-60% lead(1998 and before). The lead is in the base material and they used lead oxide and lead carbonate.

Lead was phased out in 2006-2007 @ 0.5% lead and 2011-2012 to 0%.

The metal flecks are made of
Silver color - Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum
Gold color - 14 carat gold dust (not brass, ASM/CPC uses brass)

Weigh one of each chip and you’ll get the gauge.

nice! Very detailed explanation, I have always misunderstood that the shiny metal is lead.

The metal flecks are for two reasons(info from a Paulson salesman I knew long ago)
Security feature but also as the base material wears the metal flecks appear more and prevent more base from wearing as metal is more durable and more exposed the metal is the less wear.

Lead was in chips for two reasons as well, weight for the dealers as the method of cutting chips was easier with heavier chips and lead is durable as why it was in paints.

Sorry you need to bust up that incredible PNY set, Tommy. I hope you're at least keeping a small playable set for yourself.
If it comes down to a split, I'd like to pre-dibs a rack of the $1s, please.:D

Yesterday I finally got around to unwrapping the package containing a barrel of PNY primary $25s I bought from @Tommy a few months ago - love these chips! GLWS

I am in for 1 rack of $100 primary and 3 barrels of $20, will buy a rack of $20 if that is the only way.
