My latest vice has been building up playable sets of limited edition $5 chips from las vegas casinos. If you ever played at the hard rock in vegas they used limited edition $5s exclusively without even having a house 5 chip, and its an interesting change vs. playing with all identical chips. The great thing about limited edition 5 chips is they typically don't see much casino play as they are harvested from the cage or the tables pretty quickly. So they are typically in new or near mint shape. You can also get them for below face value if you are patient depending on the casino. The farthest along I am so far is with Tropicana $5 chips. There are 202 unique versions, and I currently have all but 17 of them, and almost 400 total. These were pretty easy to come by at about 2/3 face value on average (rarer ones are much higher). Other sets I have been chasing like hard rock or palms can get quite expensive.
