I'm learning about chips and wondering what type of chip is the PlanetHollywood? Specifically those in the pictures. Got these from marketplace.

Thank you.

Interestingly, if you put UV light on those, Planet Hollywood is repeated as a security feature. Of note is that it is intentionally misspelled in at least one instance, as “Plenat”, which is another security feature…they figure that a counterfeiter is going to blow it by getting the spelling correct. :ROFLMAO:

Sometimes they have a repeating "Paulson", also misspelled.

The hat and cane image is on there not strictly as a security feature, but also as a NGCB-required manufacturer's mark.... since the house mold has none.

Paulson brand compression-molded clays using a proprietary design house mold, manufactured by Gaming Partners International (GPI) in Mexico.
So are these the Casino clay listed on this thread? https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/new-members-start-here.85303/

How does it compare to Paulson THC, which seems to be the gold standard around here (correct me if i'm wrong). I'm practicing chip tricks (ripple, flick, etc), and really like the feeling of the PH chips, so i'm wondering how it feels for the other ones.

Yes.

Some house molds feel similar to THC molds; others less so. House molds with larger debossed areas will typically be lighter, and those larger areas more easily 'felt' when handling them.

Condition probably has more influence on feel than the mold.
