Pineapple! (POFC iOS app) (1 Viewer)

There were lots of us on the old OFC (open-faced chinese) app. I don't even remember the name of the app now, but it kind of died off after a while and I somehow never got on board with the first pineapple app, but now a new pineapple version is going around. It's called Pineapple! in the app store. Not sure if it's on android as well.

@courage turned me onto this one and thanks to the brave new world of data collection the app immediately searched through my contacts and told me both @H|Q and @bentax1978 were on there too.

Anyone else? Feel free to post your username on there and we can gambol for fun or modest amounts and settle via PayPal.

Not sure what this means, so I'm guessing no.

But I do know that I got my ass kicked over the weekend by @stocky and @bentax1978. Actually still in the process of both ass kickings, so I shouldn't be using the past tense. Just can't win versus these guys. The rest of you who I actually am ahead of at the moment, don't worry - my beginner's luck won't hold.

I think (not 100% sure) it's Pineapple, but each player gets the exact same cards. It's played blind, life FL hands. Also, because everyone gets the same cards, you can play larger multiplayer games without running out of cards.

Only thing I don't like is that I can't invite players to a game even if I know their username. I'm not syncing contacts with the app.

In which app/version? I haven't synced anything and I can select the username of who I want to start a game with.

Looks like the same developer, but I don't think the iOS and Android versions play well together. I just tried to look you up with your handle and nothing came back using the iOS version

iOS ver 2.01. I can select from the list of a few players but if I choose Invite and enter a known username it simply goes to an email invite message.

Yeah contacts are synced. When I first signed in it autopopulated with a bunch of potential opponents. But then I also added folks who I didn't have in my contacts already, so that's not an issue, but when I went to add @SixSpeedFury nothing came back.

You're playing on an iPad, right? Pretty sure everyone I'm playing right now is on an Apple device.

After you click "new game" (middle of the bottom row buttons), click the magnifying glass in the upper left corner of the screen. Try searching there for "bentax". Don't use the "invite" button.
